Nick- thanks for your comment! This is normal behavior for a first-time installation. During the initial installation of cartridges, the system has to charge all the lines, purge air from the system and lubricate the print head. To do this, it forces ink through the print head and it goes into the maitnenanc box. This is only on the initial charging of the system and usually results in activating the warning that the Maintenance Box (MB) needs changes, however you should wait until the maintenance box is completely full, at which time there will be an "x" above the maintenance level indicator (which is located right next to the Yellow (Y) indicator. What make/model rewinder do you currently have? You can manually tighten the roll after it is rewound if your current rewinder doesn't work properly.
