Although this podcast is a year old, I'm a firm believer that when it finds you, it's for you. So much inspiration and life wisdom that Dr. Gladys brings to this interview. She is such an inspiration. Thank you Mark Divine for bringing her to your show, and thank you Dr. Gladys for inspiring all of us through your work, your stories and your beautiful soul.

I am a teacher who works with children who exhibit behavioral problems (stress behavior), and we are not trained for this kind of work. I have taken responsibility for training my body and brain however it is very hard to do in the moment. I am currently on stress leave because I am also a parent of 3 kids and the stress of the job was affecting my life too much to keep going. In the last three years I have developed my own training to improve my stress response and it was cool to listen to this talk as it aligns with the work that I have done with myself and I want to help others do. The education system is bursting and failing for many of our kiddos who need teachers the most and we need to go back and train our teachers and parents in the way that you and Jill spoke about. I am so grateful for your work and learning over the years.... I rarely comment on anything so that goes to show how powerful this talk was for me. Thank you!

This is a most meaningful interview. I wouldn't call it "Dark Side of" rather; intangibles, deceitful people in this industry as in every industry... I think there's a lot of wisdom and truth in Clint Eastwood not believing in free hand-outs and working hard in life. This growing up in the Depression or for my father, growing up in post-war Germany, self-reliance teaches discipline and much more than social services. I appreciate this interview because Scott hammers out his beliefs and he repeatedly says health first and including exercise first in the morning and eating well. This is not a shallow interview where the interviewer interrupts the guest. I hope Mark, you do more. All very inspiring and truthful.

I was 13 when I decided to awake kundalini... until I signed up UM academy about a little more than a year ago, I understood breathwork relevance in human body. Now I only trust UM academy for the development of these skills. Could there be an entire new module about kundalini?

What I understood from Victor Frankel was that once they lost that choice that’s when he saw people dying right after that. that even though they took away all his freedoms, you still have a choice.

Thanks you Mr Divine, I am able to breath using your app for at least 30 minutes , I can watch all my thoughts and separate myself from them, but sometimes I feel I have no direction after watching those thoughts and I feel I am missing something on the practice , I feel more on peace and I feel like ny nervous system is more quite , but I still don’t fully understand what is the overall misión or goal

Man, I realize I rehearse a lot, mainly to cater to my negative emotions. Pathetic as it sounds, I create my own reality in the mind. For instance, something goes wrong and start lashing out at people. Stop and Interdite haven't been working for me. It seems stronger than me. After I'm satisfied with my virtual reality, meaning, my body is worn out by anger or fault-finding rants, I realize this won't serve me. So I start rehearsing the ideal response. When I get to the real situation, I use the rehearsed bad version of myself, which helps to feed my frustration with myself.

After viewing several version of the interviews I’m left with two impressions: 1. Many people had responsibilities in this rescue. 2. They were no minor roles. While the operatives were the big actors, every role had to be performed perfectly.

I remember hearing about my first breathing technique, other than a deep breath, from Mark Divine. It was simple box breathing. Difficulty falling asleep pretty much went away & I could see how becoming obsessed with breathwork could be possible. I'm still a toddler but life is so much better just recognizing & learning how to breath. It never ceases to amaze me how people who have found breathwork have a great voice - I was listening on my walk at lunch today. Thanks so much!
