The GOAT is back. I’d love for you to expand more on Coldplay type of chords like you showed in your video from 2019-2020 I think and more Broken Chords/Melodic Playing ; for example your favourites intervals that you like to play in a melody. For me going up or down a perfect fifth always sound so beautiful no matter what, octaves etc. I have all your courses and I am thankful because I became a better composer because of it.
@Creativepianoacademy5 күн бұрын
Hey thats awesome! glad to have you onboard. Indeed i'll have a think about it. The perfect fifth is used all the time to create ear catching hook like sing-along style melodies.
@pabz56025 күн бұрын
Yes, please consider it especially the Coldplay’s Chord Voicings /Broken Chords/Appergio playing of Chris Martin. Would pay for a full course of it.

Hi. I'm assuming this can be the G major scale? You'd be using the I IV V and vi notes to create music...
@Creativepianoacademy8 күн бұрын
yes absolutely. you can move this into any key. Its the principle at play here so just swap out the notes into any new key.

This really is beautiful, and simple! I could almost hear Lionel Ritchie's Endless Love 🎶
@Creativepianoacademy8 күн бұрын
Yep very similar. Indeed you can replicate lots of famous melodies and piano licks using this method. I've boiled it down into a method here so anyone can use it. Of course there are other layers we can use on top of it.

I need to learn sheet music. I play tunes out of improv, but just can't read sheet music. I never took band class back in school.
@Creativepianoacademy8 күн бұрын
Reading sheet music does indeed make the whole process a little easier as you have an extra common language to communicate in.

Modern keyboards have hundreds of patches and sample tones, I’m continually playing through them to learn which would go best with certain types of songs. Having simple, pleasing melodies as demonstrated in this video would be ideal to play to be able to critically listen to a sound one is auditioning.

They certainly do. I also get inspired by certain different sounds and new and different ideas come out.
