Howdy Tenille, I didn't see the link for the foam pad. Is it 2" thick high density? Are you happy with the one you got? Or would you have gone thicker. Thanks!

You guys should think about staining/finishing with Rubio Monocoat. It will provide an even finish every time.

I appreciate good woodworking skill but it's all negated when you don't work safely. Coat sleeves, gloves, two people pushing/pulling on a table saw, no safety glasses, masks...take it from someone who worked in the custom wood industry for 40 years...very scary stuff there.

I really appreciate you sharing! Gave me good stuff to think about. I’m going to replace an old picture window and bump it out to a bench. Well done. Thx!

Beautiful results! You've given me every detail I need to know for my Jan'2025 project. I'm finally going to tackle installing a thin brick backsplash behind my 1940s Chambers range and wrap it around onto the exterior of the wall oven cabinet. I've procrastinated a long time, but now feel like it's not going to be a huge project- thanks to your video! 🙌

Open shelving in kitchens is really just Pinterest crap for pictures. Anyone and everyone that actually uses their kitchen or actually cleans their home definitely hates open shelving.

you stated 1.25" space in the math but during install a 1" spacer. just pointing that out. Spacer should equal the math layout. Cheers

Extra set of hands and maybe the brain to go with it. Working on ya own is 5 times harder. Just someone to help you not fuck it up! I like being the spotter because I have attention to detail, love having a spotter because of… birdies.,. ADHD. Love a Selector on the tunes in the workshop for vibes control

Been looking at various bench seat videos for a bench and shelving project I have coming up. Every bench seat is a little different. I like your approach and tips. My baseboards are Shaker style (3/4" thick) so I am probably going to leave them in place and build them out with an additional 3/4" for a 1.5" foundation on which I can install the 2x4 frame. I don't anticipate I will need to remove the bench afterwards, but if I do, the baseboards will already be in place.
