They've all got more energy than I have. So have you Ally, climbing out of bed so early in the morning. But for you I know it's an annual ritual to watch. I wonder what percentage of participants actually reach the summit and the temple. Mai pen rai khrup.

A CMU alumnus and one who still related with the unversity in many ways even after graduated deacedes ago stumbled upon your comment. To answer about the percentage, I would say 100%. Here it is: many of us said the actual goal of the trekking is not to worship the temple, but to build the bonding between students esp. freshmen. The only rule for the trekking for these freshmen is "leave no one behind" If you friends too tired, you have to help them. If you friends cannot walk, you have to carry them. If your friends are disabilitied persons, you have to push their wheelchairs till you all reach the temple. That's why all of them could reach the summit together.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/maaog2eGmt16mqsfeature=shared See the vid at 1.52 and 3.21. I woul roughly translated what a senior said on 1.52 b/c his words wrap all the true goal of the trekking. He said "14 kms. I know how long it is. I know it make you tired. But I want you to forget about it and cherished every moments and friendship from every kilometres. Let them be the forced for the real way you have to walk -- the way you'll be friends for years." That's it the true goal of the trekking.

I think you are a lovely friendly man. Additionally, you appear to be a caring and unselfish guy. I applaud you. From my point of view, I have always been amazed as to how unfriendly most farangs are, and I therefore tend to generally ignore/avoid them. On the other hand I find meeting Thais relatively easy. Like you I shall live in CM the rest of my life, and indeed, I am grateful that I settled here on the 18th Nov., 2544((2001), which equates to 22 years 360 days. My best wishes to you and your wife, cheers.

Hi Thanks for your video. Very peacefull. If I understand, in Nong Bua Phra Chao Luang, the festival is free? Because on internet, we should pay to Lanna Lantern festival. Could you help please?
@GoodLifeinChiangMaiThailand
@GoodLifeinChiangMaiThailand 15 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching 🙏 Indeed the Nong Phra Chao Luang is free, you just turn up and buy floats, candles, lanterns, food etc to enjoy your celebrations. There are an increasing number of other places that are advertised and will require a booking for seating and capacity constraints. The 3rd option is to visit any public area near to the Ping River, like any of the bridges north, central or south of Chiang Mai city and revel in the events that are also free to access too. This period of celebration is not just 1 night. Make the most of the fact it is repeated 15 - 17 Nov. Hope you enjoy your festival of lights 2024 wherever you go 🙏❤️🇹🇭

As suggested in other replies, it is best to initially check with your accommodation provider. However the strength, resilience & determination of Thai people has already returned some sense of normality to the affected areas and in another couple of weeks, your visit to Chiang Mai will likely be unaffected.

@GoodLifeinChiangMaiThailand Ай бұрын
Hi. I suggest you check with your accommodation first and then investigate exactly what you were intending to do. If it’s in the old city, within the moat then all is well as that was not affected. Already businesses are slowly springing back to life in the previously flooded areas, Thai people are extremely resilient ❤️🇹🇭
