Yeah, Scar gets a lot of hate in this series for killing Nina and the Rockbells, even though they are the most (maybe not justifiable) reasonable. Nina was a mercy killing, like putting down a horse with a broken leg, on a pet that is obviously dying painfully. The Rockbells were a fight or flight instinct during a panic attack.

The anime has put it in its entirety, has an extra episode and adds content that wasn’t in the movie. Would be much easier to pace it out instead of 1 full setting. In general it’s literalist a more filled out version of the movie.
