Jeff, thanks for your question. It's a good one, however, not a very easy one to answer. There are a lot of variables that go into building a Sand Creek Post & Beam structure. We have had clients that have had their building up in as little as a few days. With preparation and scheduling, it can be a surprising quick process. Kodye: I'm a timber frame guy looking for inspiration here. It greatly depends on the availability and price of wood in your area. If I had to guess, in my area (Western Canada), this would be about a $2.5-3M build as pictured using Fir timber. The kitchen, stone roof, brickwork, and all the custom cut drywall (to just name a few) really adds up in price. I'd say that this was upwards of $60k in paint alone. I could be way off depending on where this was built though. It's well worth it. These types of homes, if properly built for the climate, can last well over a hundred years. This isn't a cookie cutter "teardown-when-the-property-gets-sold" house, this is a future legacy for generations of families to come. Kids growing up in this house now will likely see their great-grandkids growing up in it too and that's something really special. Sand Creek P&B: What an amazing build. The care and design choices that you and your team made really tied this together fantastically. I'm a newer business, only been doing it a few years now, and I'm looking at expanding design horizons. I've found myself fallen into a rut of designing and building similar houses, and I ended up losing a potential customer because of it.
