@PandaJ3 ай бұрын
@@Diviance the vibration is quite bad, perhaps if you lose it every day it probably wouldn't have done you much good. But I used it pretty much continuously for an hour, and had no I'll effects the next day. However on the other side of things, I used the modern equivalent which is the BCS the the one I was using had a single cylinder diesel engine fitted to it. And because it had so many levers, handles, controls and everything was pretty hard to pull. And there was no real reduction in vibration. I actually found that quite a lot harder to use for an hour. I also used one that you could buy at b&q, more recently. The little petrol engine on. And the vibration of that is actually a lot worse... Especially for something that was made within the last year or so. It's very cheaply made... To the point where it's not able to adjust the belt that drives the blade. Sorry doesn't last very long. The only anti vibration you have on that one is a piece of flat rubber between the two parts of a handle. Because that's just held together with two bolts, the whole arrangement flaps around in the breeze... But getting that you original point.. The other side was designed to do a job and the most part it did it very well. There Is a huge number of critics... But they did seldom worldwide from the 1930s right up to 1970's... Originally designed in the 1920s... I did make quite a few improvements over the years... I need a thought if they weren't that good they wouldn't have sold very many or at least certainly not for that amount of time.. The only thing I wouldn't really want to use it on is either a very steep Hill, or a crossways on a steep bank, there were wide axle versions but I haven't got mine working yet... Otherwise they tended to roll down the hill. I've got one that's done that in the past and one of the wheels has been repaired. Anyway enough waffling from me....

Good reliable saws for what they are. I got an Oregon 25 inch bar that had the noses swapped from .404 to 3/8. running a 3/8 clutch it pulls it no problem. The one I’m running that clutch on is a late 80’s or early 90’s model with a chain brake.

alright folks.. this is how it is done.. You need a forklift be that an attachment or a real fork machine; you will need customized pallets that are about 2.5 X bigger.. you will drag the hay wagon behind the baler and you will have your pallets on the floor of hay wagon, you will stack bales a certain way on top of pallet where you will only get about 4 high or until it gets unstable.. you load all pallets up and then you just unload pallets with fork into a roofed area or tarped.
@richardhoover7569 Жыл бұрын
Buy a thrower, built a couple wagons with racks on them. One man bales, one man unloaders, my father and i did up to 10,000 bales a year that way and milked 60 cows.

I worked with a sledge like this something like 50 years ago, it worked well all be it dusty and hard work for the guy stacking! I think the problem here is the first two bales need to be placed further back so they are almost dragging on the ground so when the platform is tripped friction pulls the bales off easier, I seem to remember we may only have stacked seven bales (3 high) and one on top long ways.
