This is one of my absolute favorite The Warning songs. The song is so freaking underrated and under noticed. Fantastic.

Since The BBC and Disney are currently trying to destroy Doctor Who by putting musical numbers into it among other things. I feel if they really want to put music into the show then we need a rampage of Daleks waging war upon the Earth while this song is playing over top, now that would make for a great episode and may even breathe some life back into Doctor Who. I love this song, it is on my workout playlist.

Thanks for going through their catalog like this. I like your unique approach that I haven't seen other reactors do. The talent of Dany, Pau, and Ale at such young ages is astonishing. Hearing these earlier songs that still captivate me emphasizes just how different they are from the newest songs, both lyrically and musically. It's obvious that DPA are choosing... to evolve (hmmm, where have I heard that phrase before?)

The last two are more like bonus tracks since they are live sessions. The quality (of the recording) might not be as good, but cant complain since its 2 more songs.

I suggest you watch both their TedX presentations from 2016 and 2017. You’ll find them performing songs from XXICB including Rivers Soul. If you liked these songs you’ll be blown away by the live performances.

this was indeed a good closing track. good album arrangement overall. like other songs on this album, it feels like it was written by someone at least 10+ years older (i could ramble on aimlessly for quite a while on that idea; but i'll go ahead and just leave it at that 😅). well, since you've already done QotMS, then yes, i guess Error is the next step. HOWEVER, if you were inclined to be super-slick about it, maybe, just _maybe_ , you could drop a link to that vid/playlist in a pinned comment or something??? 🤷♂😉 the title of this song actually strikes a funny coincidence in my mind .... whenever i try to imagine what life must have been like for these girls as they got ready to record and release this album, and the various shows they were doing at that time, and all-in-all just contemplating the prospect of what they were about to embark upon, i can't help but to think about the opening scene to the music video for BLS's _In This River_ (and _just_ the opening scene, as the song itself and the rest of that video takes a bit of a different turn😟) .... to wit: >"are you ready, Dime?" >"i don't know, Zakk -- i'm scared" >"me too" >"let's do it" here's to a (hopefully) long and gratifyingly-winding River 🍻🥂 [edit: jfc, i'm becoming such a sentimental sap in my old age 😂]

There isn't much to say about this except play it again and again. The whole album is like that for me. My favorites are *21st Century Blood, Survive, Black Holes, When I'm Alone, Show Me the Light,* and *River's Soul.* But I'll put the CD on in the car and not skip any of them.

Their songwriting has always been incredible. Keep in mind DPA were no older than 15, 13, and 11 when they wrote this. Mind blowing, fersure fersure. You can catch a live version of this as the opening of their 2016 TEDx talk, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqqtnZtmqbN-bLs

SHOW ME THE LIGHT Songwriters: Paulina Villarreal / Alejandra Villarreal / Daniela Villarreal Take my pain and despair And throw it away Let them starve by themselves Let them decay We don't need them anymore When we crumble to the ground We'll build ourselves up When we're lost, we'll be found Please don't give up On the things that we will have Tell me how it feels like Take off your disguise Show me the light Bring me down into your level Make me a rebel The stealer of your heart Stop the wait, here's our chance Try not to look back Let's be free, show the world We'll turn out right What we need is what we have The two of us, it's enough Let's make our own way Let's forget yesterday And start over again Take me far, don't think it twice Tell me how it feels like Take off your disguise Show me the light Bring me down into your level Make me a rebel Hold me please, never leave I need a daily poisoning Your words so deep, cut into me Whispers so loud, they're deafening Hold me please, never leave I need a daily poisoning Your words so deep, cut into me Whispers so loud, they're deafening Tell me how it feels like Tell me how it feels like Tell me how it feels like Take off your disguise Show me the light Bring me down into your level Make me a rebel The stealer of your... THE WARNING HAS THROWN DOWN THE GAUNTLET. These young ladies have shown the entire music world how to not make a bad song because every one of their original songs are great. They are this generations Beatles only they are better because the fab four wrote some songs that were up to snuff and sucked. These ladies do not know the meaning of a bad song. Now I have been told by this person; @stephenhaynes3460 Omg they haven't had a hit song yet, slow down maybe they get there Well to me a hit song does not mean they have to hit the charts well if making the charts is a measure of having a hit well then they have made because they have hit the BIG TIME with a BILLBOARD Top 10 which is a good thing, but I do not measure if a band has made it by making the charts but by how good they are at putting out one great song after another and these young women of THE WARNING have done that time and time again and I do not see them not putting out a song that is as good or better than the ones that came before.

I think the next song Rivers Soul is one of their oldest, I believe they were going to put it on their first EP 'Escape The Mind' but decided to put it on this album. I love this band, I don't think there is a bad song on XXI Century Blood, QOTMS (my favorite album) or Error. Their fourth album 'Keep Me Fed' is sounding pretty good so far too, although I don't think its going to be my favorite.

Dany is talking to a runaway child, and hashing out all the reasons why this child is rebelling. I thought this would be obvious, but I won't digress. The Warning often intentionally leaves their lyrics open-ended so that listeners can interpret or relate to the content. So, is the singer affirming the runaway child's reasons for running, or condemning them, or simply understanding them? These lyricist don't always want to feed us mush, they feed us meat to chew on. They don't tell us what to think, rather, they prompt us to think. At the same time, don't over think the lyrics or you'll miss the forest for the trees. It's spectacular that these children demonstrated such genius writing ability at very young ages. This song is akin to Paul McCartney's "She's Leaving Home." It's amusing that you think you're qualified to rate this prodigious lyrical and poetic genius at all, sir. It is pure poetry.

This album is about the different things in the 21st Century that they would like to see changed. .The album is not a concept album. To me this song is about fake friends who.use you, then dump and run. Fairly simple, nothing complex. Bottom line is the song is about the music and not much deep hidden meanings like a few of their songs. I heard once that this song refers to the differenr producers that approached them wanting to be friends and Help them find success, but of course they had to change to do that.
