Really enjoyed how the relationship between Moiraine and Lan is portrayed, that a man and a woman can be friends, or more like brother and sister in their case, without it turning romantic or sexual.

One of the parts I didnt like about the first season is how they 'shame' Moiriane for not being in the tower most of the time. In the books, Aes Sedai dont have to report to the White Tower unless for an emergency. It's common for them to stay in the one tower for a few days and be gone for 5 years at a time. Her sporadic appearnace in the white tower being one of the reasons she was exiled in the show is, again, not a good decision since Exile is one of the biggest Punishments that can be given to a Sister and theyre usually sent to a Farm. One of the most notable Exiles that happened in the Tower of recent memory was the Exile of all sitters of the Red Ajah for their part in the Vileness.

Every time I see a video clip of this show, I hate it all over again. I’ve read the wheel of time 4 times in my 51 years. And it one of my most beloved series. And I can’t hate this show enough

Hi first off: I'm not a native speaker, so hopefully you will understand me just fine, but please there could be problems with my writing that I'm not aware of - be kind! I know exactly where you're coming from - when the Hobbit movies were published, I was young (20), yet had read the book almost 7 and heard the audiobook around 15 times. I think they did the first of the three movies very well, not the other ones (they are not bad, but in my opinion they missed some important marks there). However, I think there is a place and time to discuss these things. In my opinion, it isn't underneath a fan-made video in which someone wants to show their cinematic choice of scenes and their skill to match them to a song as well as other cinematic choices. I know how you must feel (see Hobbit part), yet there are two things I need to say - the showrunners of Wheel of Time told the audience they respect the source material (which they really do) however they could and would not portray it 1:1 because it's impossible. And let's be honest there, we would have been for a rough ride through book 2 with all the nauseating scenes we would have had when Rand travels with the stones... If you don't like the series, don't watch it, however, maybe you can appreciate the good the series does... for example, I had never read Robert Jordon before the Wheel of Time was announced now I'm currently reading book 4. And I'm thankful the series pointed me to the books and I can enjoy two different stories that play out in different ways but MARVEL at the world Jordan has created. Should you want to discuss your feelings further you can write a personal message to me anytime, but please; otherwise I think it would be fair if you kept your opinion on the show out of the comments and rather talk privately about them?
