I grew up in Vermont and have Ben splitting firewood since I was seven or eight years old. I got the first fiskers ax they sold back when it was the only one they made and that ax lasted for about 12 years before they head flew off. Best ax I have ever had and I always have one it’s the only one I use to split wood with and well worth the $55

Fiskars maul for big rounds, regular axe for smaller cuts 💪way faster than a log splitter, and youre staying fit

That’s true but many rounds that I have are heavy and too big to fit in a tire. And it’s far more time and energy consuming.

Hi Dillon, years ago when I was in my late twenties On a bet I did a challenge. Me on my axes, and my friend on a box store splitter had a day long race. I was faster filling a one ton ute for the first load,about level pegging for the second. After thatthe box store splitter pulled ahead. By the end of eight hrs I was pooped and had done six ute loads, splitter eight loads and my mate wasn't gasping. I loved your video. Cheers from HB NZ

@@bluegrassoutdoorsthey never have vids but in this case I peeped, he has had the same axe as you for 2 months lol. And on that video it looks like he viewed a generic "how to swing an axe" video about 5 minutes before. Nate, it's great you're swinging axes, but this guy is in another world of subtleties with the physics and methods of the swing that most don't notice until they've split for thousands of hours

Willeys firewood just split a cord in 9 minutes with his new allwood splitter. Its probably 15-20k though. Super splitters are about the fastest small units but you have to handle the wood more.
@bluegrassoutdoors

I checked the video out. That splitter was very fast! But there were two men working together there, not one. And the process of stacking the wood the way they did and getting it there took a lot of time as well. But that splitter is impressive, no doubt 👍
