Just stumbled upon your channel couple weeks ago down here in bowling green. Being a semi retired logger we bring home pallet logs to keep our parents boiler suppled. It kills my back just watching you split those huge rounds by hand. Growing up on a tobacco farm I do also understand having to work with what you got.

@@jeremyrippy8505 I had a 27 ton log splitter and it hurt my back a lot worse than hand splitting! I sold it within a week or so. I feel good hand splitting firewood 🪵🪓 You have a lot of experience with wood if you logged!

Cool video ! I have been working at the stave mill in morehead almost 8 years now someone said u made KZbin videos about it so I had to check it out!

@@johntherambler That’s really neat! I really like that about KZbin. You meet and talk to a lot of people that you may have never met otherwise. A friend introduced me to that mill and it’s been a real blessing for me this year! It’s good to hear from you and I’ll probably run into you if you work up there. Thank you for the kind comment 🙏

@ I work inside on 1st shift Monday to Thursday so u probably see Doug or John outside help loading wood for people during them days.

Looks like 1/2 or 1/4 the rounds with the Adler then switch to Fiskars ? Wow is that stave mill is a gold mine, man is that some beautiful wood. I was splitting some white oak yesterday and noticed it kinda smelled like whiskey and thought about ya. Take care and God Bless you!

God bless you my friend and thank you for the kind words 🙏 I like the different smells of the woods as well. It brings back memories of firewood season when I smell white oak.

I know you have your methods but those big ones you spoke about i just roll them onto my trailer gate and up it....also i use a harber freght...style dolly works well my utilitie trailer has gate on side and back its 12ft 3500 pound single axle ive bent and replaced before from huge rounds but its alot easier and get more wood by rollong them onto trailer .then you could load the truck bed after double ing your wood..with 2 people its even better. But im 150 and generally can get them..stupid your not allowed to cut them..i wonder if they let liscened guys use saws..another thing that fork guy could have pulled that can up to ur bed and you could slide them in..seems since no one was around i would have if i was driving it...with utility trailer you could get several loads then split it at home or as needed .with your boy...and or buddy..lov ya praise the lord ..he doeth all things ..snow coming here tommrow..we got lucky last few times friday supposed to hit
