The best live performance I have ever seen was the 3 of them acoustic opening for Robert Earl Keene. I was at the show for the headliner and figured I would be bored with the opening act. They blew me away. I wanted them to continue and if the venue ran out of time for the Robert Earl Keene, I would have been elated. This is great. But them live is INCREDIBLE!

I've heard a few people cover this now, testament to the magic in Matt's lyrics and the glorious arrangement of the original, but I think this one translates best. All hail The National, but Zach, Kanene and Brian breathe a whole new life into this, it's just fucking beautiful.
