for anyone reading this now and still haven't seen the fix, the problem is your hose. They (uberflex) expand too much for this pressure washer.

The Active (mine's a Cat version) are aptly named as fhey keep the user very "Active" dealing with issues and replacements. I'm not dissing the seller they've been considerate over the last 2 replacements but man, these machines can mess with you by being sensitive to tightening connections, having 15mm outlet hardware. Some of these contributed to leaking through the case.. In june I unpacked CAT# 3, which I received in fall of 22. I stashed it away in the house for the winter. Found alot of information throught Matt on Obsessed Garage who distributes The Active brand. Oddly during the demo the machine surged over long intervals. Matt said that meant thath is probably a tiny leak that has to be "chased down" that's to be expected when your working with water under pressure. Matt was wrong his Active machine was surging as I found out tonight. Back in May and today my set up was DRY and leak free (tighter than a bull's butt during fly season). The machine surged every 18 seconds and I'm in the garage "chasing water under pressure" Looks like there is more of this is more than some isolated issue. Admitedly this machine ran well for the intended task. 10/1 starts my 1st week of retirement and I've looked forward to getting detailing going as a side hussle. Disapointed with the situation.

Throw that piece of garbage away. These units are Chinese throwaway units. NO parts are available to rebuild them exist. I had a Cat1800 model which is the same junk and mine leaks were the unloader is. The fix is to throw it away and buy a real electric pressure washer. I ended up with an AR630TSS. This is due to the length of hose. The length of hose from the OE is 25ft. After OG showcased this washer with Mods people used longer hoses, MTM guns...etc. V2 is coming to address this issue.

Also ran into this same issue using the 3/8" hose and gun. Pump works fine with the stock accessories. Likely a design flaw in the pump pressure shutoff. Not a leaking seal issue as it will eventually build and hold pressure after a number of cycles.
@tself772 жыл бұрын
Active will replace it to the updated model that can handle aftermarket accessories if you email them and shoot them a video like mine.
@Daniel_Lowski2 жыл бұрын
@@tself77 Well I took it apart and greased the pressure switch and seals with Dow33 light. Accidentally leaked pump oil after taking the cover off while sideways (replaced oil with synthetic air compressor oil). Lightly greased the pump seals and checked for damage (none), put back together (a couple times after putting seals in backwards). Now it holds pressure like new. Will have to wash a couple cars and see how it holds up. I did notice one of the pump screws wasn't tight when first disassembling. That and there appeared to be no grease in the pressure switch assembly. But what you would expect for a throwaway pump.

I'm similar weight and ride a 250 2 stroke. If you're only considering 4 strokes I would lean towards the 250. There are very few situations outside of a motocross track where you can actually use the power of a 450. The 250s will be less fatiguing.
