I play football and struggle to last 90 minutes. Even here in the UK where it’s cold obviously I’m not sweating as much but I ALWAYS suffer from cramp at around the 60 min mark. I drink water, have a banana and an Lucozade sport drink before a game but still suffer from camp. Would these help me??
@precisionfandh8 күн бұрын
Probably! There are other causes of cramp, but lack of sodium is right up there... We don't sweat out just plain water so when you're drinking to replace what you lose in your sweat it makes sense to add electrolytes. A banana and Lucozade won't cut it when it comes to replacing your sodium losses so it'd be worth giving an electrolyte drink a go. Super helpful! I am doing the Race Around Rwanda in February and I am fuelling and hydrating purely with only PFH products. Super excited for it and your products feel like a cheat code as they are so helpful!

Been focusing on my carb intake in training more this winter. Find I'm also less hungry the next day if I've fuelled well during the ride. Aiming to eat more on the bike. Thanks for the vid

Any recommendations for gravel riding 16 to 18 hours per day, primarily Z2-Z3. 17 to 20 days in a row? Wide temp ranges. Do you have any recommendations or should there be some strategy changes then just thinking of it as multiple individual days?

Hey! Our Sports Scientists have a lot of experience working with multi day event athletes and will be more than happy to help. You can book a free 1-1 video call with them via the link at the bottom of our website 🙏😁

In the beginning, the folks behind the 'Gravel Worlds' admitted they named what was at the time not even a big regional race as a joke. Now that the UCI has an actual Gravel Worlds, the folks in NE act all butt hurt about it. It's silly.

Andy, Could you clarify what we should be drinking for a heat session of 45mins to an hour on the back of a normal training session? At present I’m doing approx a litre of your hydration tabs per hour during normal sessions. So for a 1.5 hour ride, I’d have nothing before then 1.5 litres of the 1000 during the ride (no energy added) and then another half litre afterwards. Should I just add a further litre of 1000 to cover the heat session? And should I use one of your delicious gels like these guys were doing or is that simply because they’d already done such a big outdoor ride before this? Many thanks

Hi! When it comes to replacing your sweat losses post exercise, the gold standard is to consume 150%. If you wanted to dial this in each ride, you could include a pre & post weigh-in. This will allow you to replace the correct amount of fluid based on that specific session. As for your energy requirements, you may benefit from consuming some carbohydrates during any sessions lasting 60 mins or more. If you would like any further advice, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly!

Very nice. I notice carbs in individual sachets? are these available to purchase as would be super helpful.
@precisionfandhАй бұрын
Hi @moraybrown3961 - good spot! At the moment the individual sachets are not available to purchase - but you can easily make your own by decanting the powder into ziplock bags. We appreciate a little more effort is needed from the athletes side and the product wont be in a snazzy PF&H branded bag but the overall result is the same 😁

A liter of Yorkshire tea and a few rounds of jam sandwiches - Loll! In the 1980's we used to take water or orange squash, maybe Isostar, and marmalade sandwiches just like Paddington Bear.

Wow, amazing effort, Guys. Super nice for me to see some bits of Burley and the New Forest which I left in 2009. What power were the lights you used in your overnight test? They didn't seem strong enough for fast off-road use but didn't seem to hold you up any.

would you cut out caffeine leading up to this?
@precisionfandh2 ай бұрын
The research would suggest it depends on the person, as someone who suffers bad caffeine withdrawal symptoms may be negatively impacted to a greater extent during their taper (headaches etc.) than the benefit is worth 🙏
