It's true we don't use cheques, I can't remember the last time I saw one. We've had person to person online bank transfers for about 20 years. We've had debit card facilities at every store for even longer. No-one writes out a piece of paper that has to go from bank to bank to get your money, we have it in under a second.

my great great grandfather immigrated ere when they were colonizing Australia and NZ and im glad he did 4th generation South Pacific Islander and im reasonably content. Havent really missed out on that much. All the stand up comedians come here eventually, all the big bands come here eventually the giant stadium is being built in Christchurch now 2nd largest city in NZ located in South Island and simultaneously a massive court theeatre is being built in town for live shows and plays. I dont feel im really missing out on much living on this pacific island above the Antarctic.

You also wont find a safer place to raise your kids, either. You hear stories about how this place is safer than this place, and that place even more so, but the most dangerous things we have here, are a couple of spider species and general sea-life youd expect around the region. Anything else is just general knowledge of "dont do it" like play around what few cliffs we have, or going out into the bush without knowing what youre getting into. Hell even our gang members would be ride or die for you as long as youre respectful. Being from here though, im a bit jaded towards what we have to offer because ive seen it day in and day out so cant appreciate it as much as someone from the outside could, so im glad youre able to see everything we can offer, and in just a small corner of the country no less.

Take up delivery driving for extra income!!!
@MrMoneyHelper2 күн бұрын
@@OliverBulezuik When I owned a car I did that, and it wasn't worth the pay. The companies in the USA pay very little per mile. The wear on the car subtracts quite a lot from the hourly income to the extent that one is working for half of a living wage. The area where one works has a huge effect on potential income. By comparison, getting a stationary job at a restaurant making pizzas pays more per hour if the wear on the car is included.
@OliverBulezuik2 күн бұрын
As an example, I was on around minimum wage pay doing delivery driving. Then, I got tips usually alot more than my pay + the milage which covered my fuel and future car maintenance. As a kiwi, spent 6 months in the UK, loved the history. But the food was average and even though it was meant to be summer the weather was shyt :). No matter where in the world I went, was alway glad to get back to NZ. We think we have problems but in the big scheme of things they are trivial. Unlike other countries we don't have to stand in line for hours for water, our houses are not bombed, and we generally don't go into poverty for medical reasons.

But glad you visited New Zealand! please do visit again soon, I know you will love to spend more time here and as you said, raise your kids here in New Zealand such a great place to do that! Yeah so much stunning landscape and scenery and wonderful people! Ah yeah Whangarei and the Whangarei Falls are pretty cool! So amazing you went up to Paihia, ah dang you should have visited more of the glorious beaches in the Far North, for example Matai Beach and it's next door Waikato Bay, (also the Karikari Peninsula), Taupo Bay, Cable Bay with its stunning and synonymous golden sand, you will have to do this next time! So much to do in Auckland so next time too! Hope you had time to chill at Hamilton Gardens, so many stunning international and themed gardens they have created there! Plus also visit the nearby Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls! Yeah Taupo is great, The Two Mile and Four Mile Bay reserves are stunning! Yes Cathedral Cove in the Coromandel is a must. As is Mt Maunganui a must do trek to summit! Love Mission Bay and yeah Auckland Zoo, the staff there have done an amazing job there! Please tell me that hotel you had at the 5:20 point! Yeah Piha a good beach and you were sort of close to a movie set. At the nearby Bethells Beach, Taylor Swift filmed sections of a music video there; Karekare Beach was where scenes from The Piano was filmed, also Cathedral Cove where Narnia Prince Caspian was filmed too! Glad you conquered your fear walking around the Sky Tower, yes next time you're in New Zealand with the Sky Tower! if you think the North Island is amazing - you will be blown away in the South Island with Queenstown and Milford Sound and many other places where the Lupins flower and that glorious church and of course That Wanaka Tree! Yes, please do make New Zealand you're home; you have so much more exploring here to do so hope you do visit again soon!

With the prices these days you'll be surprised. Fruit is more expensive I'll give you that, however day to day essentials are alot cheaper. If I moved over, my wages would be triple that what I earn with my business now. It's actually crazy to think how much better off you are in NZ. I also love the health rating on products!! Furthermore, even things such as towels and Fans were a fraction of the price in the Warehouse than they ever are here. Takeaways and exceptionally cheaper in NZ; on a whole everything is was. I purchased a t-shirt at 1/2 of what I'd pay in the UK in H&M Auckland, and we got some toys for my son's which again, were at least half of what we'd pay in England.
