I understand Charlie is not good with people, but when Gabrel tells Charlie his concerns about all the time he is spending with Alex, and he does not listen and brushes it aside to me is disrespectful. I get Alex is a friend, but he is treating Gabriel like he does not care about him at all. Great short film, I think whoever made this nailed it! 👍

I've watched too many Asian bl series that this short surprised me in an unusual way. What I mean is that I'm used to hearing Korean, Chinese, Thai, VN and Japanese speaking their language and rarely English got mixed in the conversation which I'm okay with. Of course I relied on English subtitles to understand. Only when I'm desperate I'll watch the program RAW, and re-watch when the caption is shown that it's been translated. Hearing Charlie, Gabe and Alex's English, it makes me feel like I'm watching an occidental short film. Though the actors are of Asian descent with Asian accent, this still lacks some kind of oriental demeanor. P.S. Btw, I do enjoy this well made short very much, and thank you for posting and sharing. 🫰

Dump Charlie, he is insecure, uncertain, naive, and to stupid to know when he is being hit on by another guy. Had is "FRIEND" pushed him to get physical, he would have most likely cheated on you. charlie is oblivious to what love is...and a relationship disaster waiting to happen. And after it is clear is old friend has feelings for him and was hitting on him, he still says they are just FRIENDS.

It would have been better not to try to do this in English. The delivery of all three actors is uncomfortable and unconvincing. And the script is stilted: it suffers from not having a single idiomatic line in it. I would much prefer to see the actors using their native language, accompanied by a good translation in subtitles (not your usual BL translation: a good one).

The acting is absolutely so polished and professional, miles above the usual, boring BL, that I was (as a psych) responding emotionally in a way so unusual, so tenderly, despite Gabe's very beautifully crafted masculine jock image, he acted so counterintuitively so that his intonation had a penetrating dimension that one could not hold off responding. The tension between Gabe's created image, and his personal persona, synergies his effect. Casting Charlie. avoiding a well sculptured, Asian hung/beauty, made the emotional impact of Gabe's feelings so much more tender. The delicacy of the flavours, well I could smell the vanilla...
