When they showed the inside of the romulan ship and how the romulans looked, stiles looked at spock, stiles knew he found the spy in there ship.

1:00 The thinking here is so early 20th century, so two dimensional. Space has 3 dimensions. There would be absolutely no value to a WWII style "battle line". One could simply go 'over it' or 'under it'.

"Balance Of Terror" is Absolutely my favourite episode. especially when the bridge crew with bridge navigation person "Styles" gets to see for the first time that Spock's distant cousins are "Romulans" the look on "Leutenant Styles" face is priceless.

There's a major push to make a hero of the Romulan Commader. it should be noted however that by his order 4 outposts and their crews were massacred in unprovoked attacks.

Is saddled with a dimwit of his own, sabotaging his every move. If you can't obey a just and lawful order then get out of the service. Marc Lenard in my opinion is a badly understed actor. Its a shame he didn't do many other projects. He brilliantly conveys the steadfast soldier surrounded by fools. Danger was his longtime companion. Also so were many idiots.

This episode beautifully displays the bane of every leader since time began. The stupid ass subordinate who bucks the reins and wants to do it his way. Mr. Styles is such a nimrod in this episode. Unless your leader is a Hitler or mentally incompetent, it is the duty of every soldier to work together for the good of the whole. Much to his detriment the Klingon commander

Star Dreck Three J-wish leads playing the military command elite in a J-wish fantasy script that re-imagines the Cold War not as the messy stand-off of NATO with the Russian heirs of Soviet Bolshevism but as another engagement of the "United Nations" (the Federation) of WW2 with a handful of cartoonish romanized Nazis who indulge in meaningless sneak attacks for the glory of their praetor (aka Führer). PS. The position of Roman praetor was that of a magistrate, that is, one concerned with judicial matters, that is, not someone who would willy-nilly break a century-long peace treaty for the fun of it.
