I would love to see a follow-up video on this and see if it was worth doing.

i just did this and it works great! had a 18in wsm and this is just as good as that was. did baby backs with mesquite and they were the best i have done in years! i have a green mountain pellet and a old country pecos offset and prefer this any day over them

Did the cancer set in from the can liner yet? Lol. Seriously, I hope you burnt the coating off before using it.

Did you do a follow up video with rotisserie working, would live to see it. Thanks

That is food grade but i would burn the plastic liner out then comeback with sandpaper wipe it down with cooking oil to season it just like you'd do a ugly smoker
@4000marcdman5 жыл бұрын
Dude you need to do a bunch of videos on this. Its really an untapped video on KZbin. They do them for the little ones. But none for the 22".

was this a 22inch weber fitted 55 gallon drum ?
@danieldellinger61286 жыл бұрын
Was wondering what it looked like with the rotisserie being used. And how you installed it as well.

These drums have plastic-ish liners Heat that w/ food =FOOLISH

MIKE ROTCH as long as he burned it out he's good
@mikerotch65696 жыл бұрын
I've 500+ burned 'em out & you're still scraping crud off -don't want "liner smoke"
@hinds906 жыл бұрын
MIKE ROTCH UDS builders normally burn the out the sand them. Lol I hacked up a kettle to make my stacker just to avoid all of that. Though the 55 drum has more room
@craigwheaton25066 жыл бұрын
does it hold heat better and more constantly?
@ligngood37876 жыл бұрын
I just finished doing this and will try it out tomorrow. Be warned that drums are all different sizes. My burn barrel was sized perfectly, so I picked up a new drum for this. Way to big for Weber lid so I used my burn barrel for this and turned the new one into a burn barrel.

It would have been nice if he had rotated his phone to horizontal "landscape" view to provide a full and larger picture, instead of this "tunnel vision". When WILL people learn that?

Awesome!! I need to do this! Thanks for the video

Looks a good job. Does the paint inside the barrel flake away?
@phrayzar7 жыл бұрын
Brilliant, I have been wondering if a 44gal drum would work for a webber collar for a while. Now I know what my next project is.

22.5 inch weber or the 18 inch weber?
@ginovolta61227 жыл бұрын
outspoken78 22.5"
@shawn79138 жыл бұрын
cool idea! Is the drum sitting on the ears on the side of your grill? curious if this would work on a weber without the table ears. How's it doing after 7 months?
@ginovolta61228 жыл бұрын
Shawn Kinman thanks man. It actually does sit on the ears. It's been great. The only thing I need to do is upgrade my spit rod. It keeps coming out of the motor, so when I come out my meat isn't turning.
