Brilliant, I have been wondering if a 44gal drum would work for a webber collar for a while. Now I know what my next project is.

Was wondering what it looked like with the rotisserie being used. And how you installed it as well.

cool idea! Is the drum sitting on the ears on the side of your grill? curious if this would work on a weber without the table ears. How's it doing after 7 months?

Shawn Kinman thanks man. It actually does sit on the ears. It's been great. The only thing I need to do is upgrade my spit rod. It keeps coming out of the motor, so when I come out my meat isn't turning.

That is food grade but i would burn the plastic liner out then comeback with sandpaper wipe it down with cooking oil to season it just like you'd do a ugly smoker

Did the cancer set in from the can liner yet? Lol. Seriously, I hope you burnt the coating off before using it.

I've 500+ burned 'em out & you're still scraping crud off -don't want "liner smoke"

MIKE ROTCH UDS builders normally burn the out the sand them. Lol I hacked up a kettle to make my stacker just to avoid all of that. Though the 55 drum has more room
