When it comes to the authenticity of this Romanian folk music-inspired piece, the composer Dinicu's version is still the best. Rabin comes close in that respect, but his trills and spiccatos are not perfect. Rabin's silkiness of tone is hard to beat in slow pieces.

It’s unbelievable how someone even composed and then played it in the first place, I mean how genius do you have to be to be able to create THEN play such a hard piece ? That said, all the applause to Hilary Hahn, the practicing it must have taken, it’s simply incredible 👏👏👏
