What Bible did Jehovah's Witness use before the New Translation? I know it was written after Charles Russell, and maybe after Rutherford? I have 2 JW friends, but they have never given me an answer. It was probably the KJV, but I don't know.

I lived next door to Ted Jaracz; governing body member in the 70's and 80's when I served at Bethel Watchtower HQ. He was very stern, business-like in his disposition, and cold and calculating in his demeanor. Little did I know it at the time; being young and naive; that the then existing governing body would "go beyond what was written" ALL THE TIME! Few were the occasions when they resorted to pulling the Bible out to make decisions on policies and congregation matters. If you want my statements substantiated; read the book by brother Ray Franz; who was a governing body member at the time who sat on many GB meetings over his service of about a decade there. The book of course is "Crisis of Conscience"; which details his life of self sacrifice but particularly the way he was mistreated by Jaracz, Henschel, Schroeder, and other GB members who went "beyond what is written" in scripture! (1 Corinth. 4: 3-6)

Using the English word egg white give me no clue that its a plant. I have no issues with mallow vs marshmallow, which is a perennial plant that is closely related to the hollyhock. That is the woody stems of the marshmallow. Egg whites is confusing perhaps not in 1611 but today it makes no sense. Google what plant does marshmallow come from ... As an ex-jw, one thing I kind of agree with is not accepting literature from people at the doors. I would say to the householder: "I took the time to come find you, if you find me at my home or on the street, I will gladly accept your literature." In other words, you make the effort and sacrifice to preach your beliefs to non-believers and I can respect that.

I'm sitting in a local restaurant and 2 middle aged ladies came in and sat down in a booth right behind me, so I turned around and greeted them and offered them each one of my tracts. They said, "OH, WE DON'T NEED THAT. THERE IS NO HELL. WE'RE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES." And I said, "In your dreams, sister!" I tried to counter them but had NO idea HOW to talk to them, because I had no idea WHAT their beliefs were. After I left there and got in my truck, I prayed all the way home. God put it on my heart to do a JW study and to dig up everything I could on them and to write a study guide to counter them in the field. I downloaded several of their Watchtower publications and installed their TRANSLATION of the bible and worked for days. I used Google resources and what I could dig up in their bible translation and found 112 sets of verses that had been removed from the bible. A verse here and two there and a page and a half there and a complete book there...that eliminated everything to do with the proving of HEAVEN AND HELL, Angels, Satan, Spirits, The Trinity of God, Where the WORD became Flesh and became God incarnate. They don't celebrate birthdays, holidays, they don't salute the country's flag they're in, they refuse armed services, blood transfusions, replacement organs, (unless all blood is rung out of it first), The Virgin birth, the angel stirring the water to heal the first that stepped in to be healed, and the PHYSICAL RAISING OF JESUS. (they believe spiritual only!) and a bunch of other hair-brained stuff and they're NOT to look at any other bible translation than the JW bible. They're Not to hang out with anyone other than JW's, and if one of their number does happen to find the truth, they are to be reported immediately so they can be SHUNNED, and everyone gets a warning about that shunned person and everyone is told NOT to read any texts no letters nor answer any phone calls from that shunned person because they'll hear the LIES of PAGANS !!! I wrote a 3 1/3 page study on JW's and used it to bring one JW to Christ. Then I duplicated it 4 dozen and handed them out to the members of my three bible study groups as well as our ministers. I ran out, so I had three more dozen copied and I added the 112 passages to it, that showed what all the JW's purposely LEFT out of the bible, to hide the truth. I have asked everyone to pass this info on to their respective other studies and churches. Each one of the Jehovah's witnesses stands to go to Hell. I'm Not judging! Just stating facts here. Their beliefs are severely tainted!

Amen a very powerful message from my brother in Christ. We shouldn't read any other books that's not a part of the holy 66 Torah bible translated into the English Bible and many different languages that the Lord's word never changes. If our God for Jesus Christ it's perfect do you think that he will preserve his word from everlasting to everlasting. For us Christians for us true believers we should pray through false religions and false idols and false gods if it's Jehovah's witnesses, the Mormons, the Roman Catholics now I'm not saying all Roman Catholics believe in the same thing but most of them do, we should pray for the Mormons, the Buddhist, the Muslims, Hindus. We need to remember that the devil and demonic spirits can work through corrupt people that think they are above God in his word. But thank our God through Jesus Christ Albert's character on this Mercy his grace his forgiveness and his patients that he gives to us every day and we can do the same pain others. I was at Walmart about a year ago and I came across these couple Jehovah's witnesses they were older and at the time I wasn't in my right mindset and I was nervous and he gave me a card of his and I gave him a gospel. But I was nervous that I forgot a little bit depriest gospel to him even if it's 5 minutes of preaching it. I told the Lord if I run into them at Walmart again I will preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ even though yes I handle the gospel tract to them it's totally different when you have one-on-one conversation and that connection. When I walked away and went back to the house I I put myself down and I really beat myself up because of this and it made me feel oppressed really bad and I thought that I wasn't worthy of the Lord what is love.but I need to remember all the promises that the Lord's been teaching me for the past seven years when I got sick with late-stage Lyme disease. And even though I'm still going through a lot with my suffering because I had to get three bone marrow by his done in the past two-and-a-half years finding out that I have few less cells in my bone marrow currently at 20% to 25% and it should be at 70% for my age. My blood doctor had to test me for HIV leukemia, lymphoma, leukemia everything came back negative except I had high levels of the barr virus but usually most people have this virus. I have to get my CBC blood count tested every 3 months because I have mildly low white blood cells and platelets. Everyday I have to deal with my chronic got issues and so much more. But through all this and I'm going through I will walk down that path for me to get it by that check to have a right relationship with the Lord and I'll do it all again. I believe sometimes the Lord will send his children down the path that we don't like to go down to save us to wake us up even the ones that's not his children yet but eventually some will give their life to God through their Savior Jesus Christ for their salvation. And I believe the Lord is working through me to get through my family if it's some or all and whatever the it's working through me to get through more people. I'm not as gifted as speaking to people are saying the correct words in a correct sentence. Sometimes I can stumble over my words and it doesn't make any easier when I suffer with the Lyme disease when I have brain fog and my thinking is not on percent here and there.I'm a slow learner it took me about two-and-a-half years to remember about almost 60 versus by heart. When I meditate on a Lord's word I want his word to move through me and in me to feed my soul just like I feed my stomach with food. I can tell but the Lord is changing me the way I treat other people how I look at life differently how I look at my sins that I used to do that I hate. It's been about three years since I haven't looked at any porn videos or pictures on my phone. If I see myself if I have any jealousy or any slight of frustration or hate or any pride in my heart I will correct myself and get down on my knees and ask the Lord for forgiveness and to correct me. Because I want the Lord to keep doing the good work within me Philippians 1:6 some people say that the Lord chooses people from the beginning of time who gets saved and who doesn't. But I'm still learning and even though this doesn't make sense to me I believe that the Lord gives us Free Will and along with that free will the Lord is not going to force his love upon anyone because true love has to be freely given it can't be forced so I do believe that the Lord does choose that person but that person also choose the Lord. If I'm wrong I'll be grateful if a brother or sister can correct me here because it's always good to support each other to love one another and if a brother or sister has a little more wisdom and expand in the face a little bit longer than another one it's good to lift each other up in the Lord's. But also to be patient with one another to have a nice dialogue and conversation without any pride or anger or jealousy or anything in that nature. Because we shouldn't have any pride or jealousy just because another brother is more gifted as speaking another brother or sister in the body of Christ because everyone has spiritual gifts that the Lord gives to one another and we can use those spiritual gifts to glorify the Lord and also the help out other people. The New World Mis-Translation Bible, isn’t worth the toilet paper that is printing on.

John 14:14 in my John 14:14 in my 1909/1929 American Standard Version reads, "If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do." Young's Literal Translation reads, "If ye ask anything in my name I will do it." Smith's Literal Translation renders it, "If ye ask anything in my name I will do." So, to say it's a "corruption" or that they "erased" the word "me" is a bit of a stretch don't you think? It's obvious that it's been translated into English that way for literally centuries. If you are going to point it out in the NWT, to be fair, ought it not be also pointed out that a number of translators chose to render it that way. So, then it begs the question, "Why?".

My King James Version reads: "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." John 14:14 It's not in the Authorized King James Version of the Holy Scriptures. The Watchtower's Kingdom Interlinier was published some time after the original NWT came out in the 50s, I believe. Just cross-checking here.

Then they taught that 1925 millions now living will never die. They taught little girls to wait for the New Order before they got married. I remember when I was a pioneer all the brothers that would read the cover of The Awake That the generation that saw 1914 could not pass away until all things occur. Those ladies as representatives of the Watch Tower exemplify exactly why it is so difficult for them to comprehend the bibles true foundation. They prefere to listen to the governing body... I alway tell people to ask them who gave them the power to make changes to the scriptures. They will often say their Bible is similar, not so. I truly try not to judge and it is an individuals choice but they are not to be taken lightly and have destroyed many of families. 2 Cor 11:4 and 2 John 1;9-11 for starters. So simple question did Jesus build a Church? yes or no If you answer yes as you should then the second question is Did the gates of Hell prevail against His Church? Yes or No . If you answer NO as you should then you have to ask why so many Men started their own churches? Was Jesus a Liar. Did the gates of Hell prevail against His church that Men had to start their own. With 1.4 Billion Catholics more than all other Christian churches combined you can't say the gates of hell prevailed against His Church. So again why did so many Men and Women start their own Church and why do so many follow and go to those churches. If you love Jesus go to the church He Built. Noah only built one Ark and Jesus only Built One Church. We are either in the church or ark that Jesus Built or the cold dark waters of all these other Man made churches and oh how dark will the darkness be in the bottom of the ocean.
