They no longer stop at my house, , after 9 years and many many bible studies, they gave up, time and time again I delivered the Gospel message but the words fell on deaf ears. Glory be to God...

Take heart 44 Musher and remember Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." You might not have seen anything fruit but you planted seeds. :)

Glory be to your persistence and patience with putting up with them for 9 years. I put up with them for 35+ because I was born in. But I do believe, much like Elvis, God has left the building.

ZFGiven I don't believe in coincidence.... Let me explain, this afternoon I stopped by my daughter's house and low and behold, who do I see? You guess the Jehovah's witnesses and among them Ken, the one who tried to win one for the watchtower, and now your comment, the Lord Jesus might be telling me something. Let no man get between you and Christ, as so many religions do, becoming the gatekeepers. I pray vou hear the gospel, being free .......

I've often wondered why the rank N file are called the "Publishers" when they don't print the Magazines and their leaders are the "slaves", when it is the Slaves that send out the Publishers. Hmmm...

Nice to see you back buddy . I got asked if I wanted a free bible study too the other day . My response was why do I need to have a bible study if I'm a Christian? Why do I need to become a JW ? I then went on to investigate who was their Jesus and I asked them why they believed that He rose spiritually if the bible clearly states He rose Physically john 2:19 10:17,18 and revelations where it says the sacrificial Lamb of God was in heaven alive with His wounds . So much for Jehovah disposing of the sacrificial body and not taking it "back". I also pointed out that the Son of man is a reference to Jesus's human form and the Son of man is said to be in heaven. Well ... that certainly gave her some food for thought. Anyway, great to see you back again buddy:)

So true; I grew up in the WT organization, left after 60+ years in it. When I finally woke up, I realized so many things, the scales fell from my eyes. All those years I felt exactly that.....the WT Society was more concerned with how many hours and placements you did for the month. Not studying the bible but WT publications.

I'm a former JW... They do not view their publications as a bait and switch. They believe that they are Bible aids that help you get greater understanding of what the scriptures teach. What they keep forgetting, or fail to relay is that their publications are often (and I do mean often) getting a "new light" on many key doctrines. (1914 Armageddon, blood issue, shunning family members that no longer want to be a JW, etc...) Seven men referred to as the Governing Body, makes the rules. It Is an extremely controlling Organization with extreme consequences if you question their authority.... It is an Organization that has destroyed many families due to their shunning practices....

Aka Perez Why then don't you write your own Bible and leave out 1 Corinthians 5 v 11 to 13? Or find Jesus and beat him up for what he say at Matthew 10 v 35 to 37? So when the separation of the sheep from the Goats is done, if your relatives are all on the side with the goats and you are on the side with the sheep,. will you go and drag them over,or join them on their side.Most of the people talking about shunning,have brothers and sisters,aunt's, uncles,and cousins sleeping on the streets in every major city aren't they shunning them?

Couldn't be further from the truth. Is there genuineness in some of them? Yes. Not all though. Not being overly critical either. Realizing there are genuine and un genuine people in every group

Good observation! It has been many years since any JW came to my door. I would ask them about their academic qualifications to lead such a study? I would reject any literature they offered since the qualifications of the writers are also never established. I would ask them questions about the origin of the Watch Tower, Charles T Russell, 1914, the problem with pedophiles in the Kingdom Halls, and the scandal of 1975. I guess that is why they don’t come to my door anymore? 😆

They can only offer you what they have...which is conditional membership in an organization. The unconditional love of God and a true relationship with Jesus they themselves do not possess, so they cannot offer it to you either.

They are selling a lifestyle and admission into a publishing company. They are unable to study the Bible without their literature. In fact their translation of the Bible follows their doctrine which follows their literature. Sadly the tail wags the dog..

Have you ever read Matthew 10 v 11 to 15?You are free to accept or refuse,no one forcing you . You fully well know,that Watchtower magazines have topics like HOW TO GET MORE FROM READING THE BIBLE,and WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT LIFE And DEATH.,It is simply a Bible aid.You claim to believe in Jesus,but you are not obeying his command at Acts 1 v 8,Acts5 v 42, Acts 20 v20, Matthew 28 v 19 and 20.Jehovahs. Witnesses Are.He who claim to know him yet they do not obey his command is a liar and the truth is not in him 1 John 2 v 4 .

Jehovah's Witnesses don't teach you anything that they can't prove from the bible, or at least give a biblical explanation to ... Using other publications to help study the bible is just all about keeping to the subject matter, what ever category that falls into, and fully explaining that before getting side tracked and jumping to something else ... The bible is a big book, studying it the way Jehovah's Witnesses do is orderly and progressive ... That said however if you don't want to use study aids and have nothing else but the bible in front of you then that fine as well.

Yes absolutely, during the Nazi reign of terror and then afterwards during the communist and soviet eras, behind the iron curtain, Jehovah's Witnesses could only use the bible for study and preaching; likewise, today in China and a number of other countries they don't dare use WT publications ... And now also in Russia where even the New World Translation is banned they have to revert to the former times and just use what ever bible translation the state will allow.

I was in the ministry with a pioneer sister who offered a "bible study" to a woman who gladly accepted. When we went back the next week to start the study, the pioneer sister pulled out her Bible Teach book and demonstrated the "Bible study". The woman said "No, I want to study just the Bible, not a book." The pioneer sister said "I'm sorry, but we don't do that, we only study the Bible with an aid, such as this book". Needless to say, the woman kicked us out. lol
