I don't think I have realized just how much I have been "stuck" with fear. I've been pushing through it, and yet listening to this helps me see how much I am still being held back by it. It's so hard to change established thinking patterns. I really appreciate this video, thank you very much.

Thank you Russell. I don’t know if this comment will ever make it to you. But I want to share my perspective as someone who was once one of your biggest fans and who later felt a bit ostracized and I would even say betrayed by what you were doing and saying. And I just want you to know, all of this is coming out of a place of love. I’m typing this while traveling to a conference that I sponsored, using funds generated from my business that was built using your information. You are absolutely a major part of my success and I love you and give you all the credit for that. But I will also admit that I’m not surprised by what you’ve shared in this podcast (thank you for being so transparent btw). From my perspective as one of your loyal followers, I can see why things started going down for a while. First, you mentioned that you don’t know whole so much vitriol and hate was sent your way during this time. Especially after launching CF 2.0. You say that all you wanted was to serve others. And I believe you. Because I’ve followed you for years, we share the same religion, and because of that I know we share similar values. But I have to say, over the last few years it hasn’t FELT like you were trying to serve us. It felt like you were trying to gouge money out of us. This comes down, I think, to one thing. Marketing vs product. You’ve said many times that marketing is more important than product. I and, I think, many other entrepreneurs disagree. Yes, marketing is necessary. But if your marketing pushes exceed the value of the product, it just makes you look like a sleazy salesman. And if your product is amazing, even a little marketing will be enough to generate word of mouth (the best form of marketing). This is why a certain competitor took such a massive chunk of the CF market share. They put relatively little work into their marketing, instead relying on their users to do the marketing for them, and instead being obsessed with the quality of their product. Now to your credit, you said it was a mistake to release CF 2.0 so early. I agree. This is, from my perspective, the big reason why many of us felt slighted. We started using CF 2.0 only to find it was half baked, and that a certain competitor was cheaper and a better product. What that did is make all of your promotion and marketing seem to lack authenticity. Because you had a lot of talk, but the user experience did not match your marketing. Hence making it SEEM like you were overhyping everything. And honestly, as much as I love you man, this hurt my perspective of you in my head. Because if I couldn’t trust you to be authentic about this, what else couldn’t I trust you on? And the more I looked into other areas, and listened to other entrepreneurs who had similar stories, even with some of your info products,, it just felt hard to ignore. Now I think you actually know this, because there are some products that you ARE obsessed with: aka the marketing information. This is honestly, I think, where you excel the most, and where it’s clear that you really do care about the outcome for your audience, rather than just squeezing more money out of us. That’s why I think it was a fantastic idea to split your two companies. I honestly feel like you’d be better off selling off CF and sticking to marketing education. That would allow you to be more objective about all the tools out there. Because right now it often FEELS that all you want to do is get us to sign up for CF rather than provide genuine value, because you obviously have a bias toward CF. This is not to diminish the hard work that you and Tod and your teams have put into CF. I’m just telling you how it FEELS from my perspective, and I suspect that many others who have left your ecosystem feel the same way. It doesn’t feel like you’re as obsessed with creating the best software out there as you are with promoting said software. And that makes you feel inauthentic. All of that said I still love you man. I love what you’re doing, and I think you’re learning all the right lessons. I’m still in your ecosystem, even though I have also moved on to using a certain competitor for my funnels. And probably won’t come back. At least for that. But I will always love and appreciate all you have taught me and, I suspect, will continue to teach me. Again, I don’t know if you will ever see this, but it’s something I’ve wanted to say to you for some time if I ever had the chance. I know you’re working hard, you genuinely care for the people you’ve been called to serve. But I just had to share how I FELT through all of this. And my perspective on why things have been hard for you. Again, love all you do and please don’t take this as a knock on you as a person. It’s just a perspective from an ideal audience member of yours. I hope it helps.

Well Russel I’m 57 (feel great) and your kids will become you best of friends. I have three and 7 grandchildren but I feel 30 something. As for the wrestling thing I didn’t hear about it so paused your vid and found it in 2.5 seconds. 😂 that said I would have done the same thing and most men would have. I certainly appreciate everything you have done, built for entrepreneurs of all ages. I’m still wondering if you’re acquiring Skool… We are all proud of you!!👏🏼
