Good try! I hope this little bird survive after the crash. One thing that I tried is just to do the flip part and stop piroing after the flip is done. Holding the heli in a piro inverted is difficult and take more time to nailed it. I still don’t have the guts to try piro flip during piro in real life

Have you tuned the gain to be the highest possible on cyclic? That would help for the connected feel. For your tail, I think you can try tuning the collective precomp. I don’t have vbar so I don’t know how to tune but it should have something like this in vbar

I attempted piro flip using S1 after 6 months of simming. I think I broke it down into 2 aspects: piro hover and actual flipping during piro. I focus on practicing the latter on ( tail in hover -> start to flip and piro at the same time -> inverted hover) and I made it successful with S1. I think it gives you sense of accomplishment and easier to progress this way. I’m now working on piro inverted hover and once I can full control it, I’ll put everything together. But now I enjoy piro flipping around and hold it stationary after

s1 is the best rc anything ive bought in a long time. completely sold and i own 3 now and an s2 Bring extra parts or extra choppers next time but I liked your video !!

It's hard to tell from my angle, but that tail just doesn't sound right to me. Like a weird hum. Have you checked on all your bearings!?

Hi, just discovered you, getting my first 3D goosky S1 soon. Only flown blade coaxiales in the past, but want to learn to fly a proper heli hopefully and see if it may be possible in the future to learn the simplest of maneuvers, so much thanks for your insight on this. Totally agree with you that flying the S1 is far superior to a sim. I have learned so many maneuvers on the S1 that I then translate to my S2, RS4 Venom, and 470L. However I still haven't learned piro flips yet. I am just finishing learning invertered flight at all orientations and able to do excellent rainbows. Now I am practicing Tictocs but those aren't going so well. In any case I love the S1 because I literally fly it daily because I dont need to go to a flying field. My only complaint with it are the blade grips. They are too soft and are virtually guaranteed to bend in any decent crash and become expensive changing over time. I have asked Goosky to improve this and they said they would.

Thank you for the video! I restarted my heli journey last year after 10+ year break. I’m flying mode 1 so not many people and resource I found to help. It forces me to watch mode 2 videos and break down the manoeuvre myself to match mode 1 stick movements. I think doing a slow piro (like half of the piro sped as you had in your video) practice (stationary upside and inverted) and do a slow piro flip practice would make myself clear what’s happening there. I made a good progress by watching Richard’s video and another online video. I summarised it as once you know how to do forward flip during piro, and right after the side change, it is just a matter of piro stationary hover. This mental mindset helped me a lot and I practice piro stationary hover now. Please keep it up and let’s help others to overcome those annoying barriers faster to enjoy flying, with much less crashes 😊

good comparison but honestly I didn't see much difference in either. I am still stock on the realflight sim, it is all I've ever had since it came out like twenty years ago if not more. I been meaning to try a different one but I don't know what to get

Pues resulta que me había retirado del hobby hace 2 años y ahora quiero retomar. Cuándo lo dejé estaba practicando también los piroflips en el Accu, pero ahora veo que esta abandonado el proyecto. Y como sé que te has mantenido constante en la práctica y siempre mejorando, te quería preguntar si consideras que el Heli X. Es superior al Accu y por qué. Por los medelos me da casi igual, IRL mis helis son los Trex 470L y 550x, también un goosky S1😅

Start with the AGILITY perhaps a bit slower, as you get better raise it. Where can i buy this ACCURC, i have always used the REAL FLIGHT but this one looks AWESOME. Is this for PC only?

Looking good, much more relaxed 👍 Don't use average watch time as a guide. 5 people find your video and click away after a second because it's not what they are looking for. 1 person watches it through to the end. If you have something to say that takes 10 minutes, you'll still get those 5 clicking away, but that other person will watch for longer, which means a longer average result.

Keep at it, it will come. There is no right way of learning this sort of stuff. I think doggedness and drive is what wins in the end. I'll try create a video soon on how I control these.

Interesting idea, nice work completing it. The virtual sticks work fine on my Alpha v3. I'm mode 2 VControl USB and it works as it should. Odd.

This method can work, but it is very brute force, and a lot of people give up on piro flips because they don't see results quickly enough this way. I think the problem with constant speed piros, and creeping the speed up over time, is that the cues change when faster and then it's a road block. I prefer doing variable speed piros from super slow to mega fast, and with lots of stops and starts. Also try counting where you do half, 1 or 2 piros per flip.
