nice video. i have the same problem. it wasnt so corroded indide. but the battery has that red dot and also the phoe in the back. took it apart, cleaned it with alchool, and nothing. i have the blue/ green LED on top and thats it. black screen. when the battery is drained out, the screen comes back to live and says charging. i manage to enter into the phone, look at settings, get some photos (love thos dual pics/ videos as in galaxy note 4). but when i press the power button to put the screen to sleep, that "killed" the screen. press again, the screen is black. press up and down volume, i can sense vibrating or even sounds, but no image...

After plugging in the screen connectors and before putting on the connector cover you should turn the phone on and check the screen functions properly. Also- there is adhesive around the outer edge of the phone body that helps seal the screen to the body. Remember how he had to slowly pry the screen away in the beginning of the video. All the adhesive should be removed and new applied before finally replacing the screen. This adhesive comes on a plastic sheet. Like the adhesive under the battery you stick it down on the phone body edge and remove the plastic backing. Then you can put the screen back on...

I hope you all are doing well. I am replacing the battery on iphone 6 plus for my dad, and when I complete the process and power on the phone, after doing any demanding activity like streaming, phone restarts. Just like when it's low on power and cold. Problem seems to start when I seal the screen with the phone. Any help is much appreciated. UPDATE: Problem was solved after disconnecting the battery for 5min from motherboard and reconnecting it.

Thanks for the video! I just replaced the battery in my 6S Plus using (mostly) your instructions. Mine has three strips of adhesive, not two, and it was impossible to remove the third strip (nearest the volume buttons). I grabbed it twice, but it tore apart each time. I eventually pried the battery up from the side nearest the power switch using a 2" hard plastic putty knife. This left most of the adhesive strip stuck to the case, and the battery didn't suffer serious damage. It just takes a little care and patience. I also built a wooden jig to hold the phone while working on it. I used a couple rubber bands to hold the back to an upright mounted on a wooden base, and this prevents the back from going over 90º. The bottom of the phone is prevented from sliding away from the upright by a small strip of wood tacked down to the base. Once this was done, there was no risk of pushing the back over 90º during handling, so only the battery connector had to be disconnected. Worked first time, phone is like new. Thanks again!

I watched two of your videos, this one and replacing the battery. I will be doing mine in a few days, The battery is pushing the screen up. iPhone 6S pro. I ordered a screen as it looked cracked but it was the screen protector that was cracked. Thanks for the videos.

Hi, Great vid!!! 😁 I know it was supposed to be short but I bet that u made it longer to get the important parts explained fully so that ppl understand u. U did a great job putting the video together and everything is explained in great detail several times to get the point across so that ppl don't miss anything when repairing their phones. I do agree with u on everything that u said in the video. The also good part to note was that when u powered up the phone and noticed the white screen static glitch u knew what was causing it and u were able to fix the issues and the mistake ..... 👍 for that. I do have one question though but I dont know if u know the answe to it. When u replace a battery, does it delete the data stored in the phone like photos docs etc?

When you`re not using the tiny screws instead of just leaving them on a piece of paper stick them to a piece of Blu-Tac or Masking Tape or even a Magnet..In fact there are magnetic dishes made specifically for this kind of purpose.

That's a great video, thankyou. I do the same with arranging parts I remove. I put them left to right, in the shape how they come out, and sometimes I'll do quick sketches of the parts and stick the screws in each place. Especially when I'm working on my cameras. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. what would be the best, most reasonable priced kit I can get to cover phones, cameras and basically most small electronics? The one I have is so dodgey and is meant to match Phillips or cannon sizes but it's not even close. The drivers are completely useless and the plastic pry tools have only been used twice and are breaking of at the tips. Cheers Tania AUS

Dunno much about re-calibrating these but it often used to be the case on older phones that the charging port was not making a great connection to the cable and batteries could not charge correctly. I used toothpicks or change the entire port to either pick out dust balls or just swap it out completly

Thanks so much for this very informative DIY video! Like others who have posted I needed to change the battery in my Iphone 6 and your way was definitely the right way! After watching your video all the way through first...I felt I could tackle the DIY...and then went step by step through your video once again while actually doing the steps! worked out quite well...the only problem I encountered was the time it took to put those teeny tiny/ itsy bitsy screws back in! Thank you again for the help!

I can not find anyone online that had the same problem I am having...I can't even pull the suction cup hard enough to see the crack to lift it off. Am I just too weak? I even pulled on the suction cup so hard it came free from the phone. And, yes I did remove the two screws. Help please.

I had this same problem with mine too. Try using pliers to help you pull it up. That's what I had to do, and then I got it.
