Hi, I appreciate you watching my video and asking for advice. Do you plan to hunt it via full odds radar in DP? They're not available in Platinum. The Radar grass isn't as easy to see in DP and it's only available to hunt on Route 228, where there's a constant sandstorm, which will make the grass even less easy to see. Do you plan to go for the shiny at full odds or just go until you see shiny grass? All you can do is give it your best shot. There are plenty Poké Radar tutorials on KZbin to help you if you want to learn the basics of chaining. The main rule with chaining is that the grass that's in the fourth box of grass tiles away from yourself in the middle of the 9x9 grid is the most likely to continue your chain. Best of luck! ✨ Also, bring plenty Max Repel items and use one before saving your game before using the Radar. When a chain breaks, you can reboot the game to immediately regain the items and PP that you previously consumed to no success.

@@LuckySparkles Yeah, I can't see the patches at all. (I'm playing Diamond). But I really want a shiny 22%Vibrava/2%Trapinch. I was planning on applying a max repel, saving the game, see the 4 patches from Pokeradar, try to enter the Pokeradar exclusive patch, and if it's not shiny soft reset. Repeat until I get the shiny. I won't be able to see a shiny patch or the Pokeradar exclusive type patch. I've Pokeradared a bunch before and have had lots of success. I just know I can't see the patches and I will not be trying to get a chain of 17 or 40 by chance. I'm still debating if I want to do this hunt now or later. I've hit a bit of shiny burn out lately since I've done a few big hunts from August-October. 3 full odds fishing hunts, 4 phases for Beldum on Route 228, and a bunch of Pokeradar hunts. I could see myself trying to do chains until they broke in the hopes that I can get something a little easier.

Huge GGs on the roamers! Roamer hunts always really tough hunts but the reward is well worth it. Also, I think it’s better to use Teleport instead of Fly

Thanks and yeah, I agree with how rewarding it feels. I'm currently hunting my 9th and final roamer, Latios, but it's nearing 24k. Also, you can't teleport from inside of towns or cities in the Gen 4 games. I'm aware that it was fixed in BDSP. 😄

This is incredible. I'm going through this, but on legends arceus, and this was a boost I needed to keep going I'm currently 21/28 with many duplicates :D but I feel like I need a couple more months before I can even start thinking about complaining great video

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! I've also battled shiny legendary Pokémon, including roamers, with just level one Smeargle. 😂

Congratulations! I love that little nasty nibbler! I just caught the static alpha Torterra as a shiny in Legends! And its female! (And I also got a shiny alpha Hisuian Diciduey but that was with a horde method.) Druddigon is still being stubborn. Hopefully its not the Chikorita curse...

I don't usually turn the animations on, but I guess I could try remembering to temporarily enable it to show off the animated back sprites of future shinies that I obtain. 😉

Such awesome finds!! While still hatching druddigon eggs (almost 800 now) I've found probably 10 full odds shinies in Legends while searching for a shiny Burmy. I even found a shiny Mothim (which I did Need) and yes, I have the shiny charm in Legends, it's majorly busted.

Nice! Awesome to see that you're enjoying my content. I'm not planning to get a capture card either, so my content will always be recorded the good old fashioned way. I don't film my catches with a capture card either. Sometimes it's nice to have videos have that old timey home made feel. Just a shame my current samsung phones inbuilt camera is so cruddy. :P
