That final throw with the cicada was 👌very nice. I was guessing it went 320 ft.

If you want a disc that turns, star roadrunner is my favorite by far. Straight flyer is the undertaker (esp) or Titanium. Road runner for someone who throws 300 ft will most likely be dead straight and the undertaker might finish a bit harder.

Discraft has the -1,1 down out of any of the brands that I have thrown. Crave would be the closest after these two.

I liked how my Passions flew, and had a few in the bag last season. But, I couldn't get over the beaded rim. Went to Craves and never looked back. 175g Glow Crave goes straight, 167g Plasma Crave for the s-flight and 150g Fission Crave for when I need something flippy. The fission is really fun getting the slow flip to where it juuust starts riding right at the end of the flight.

Using an x step for forehand is totally unnecessary, but the leading with the elbow tucked in tight the whole time, forcing the elbow to be the pivot point and bear all the torque from the whipping action, is the worst advice. That's exactly what caused Eagle McMahon's elbow injury. Caroline Henderson has one of the best tutorials on throwing disc golf forehands - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5mYf2SYh5Zrb7csi=EiQOhMnQxVCbYfOB

Agreed that Caroline has good forehand form, and I believe she comes from a softball background, so she knows how to throw. It's also very similar to what Scott Stokely teaches.

Love the content. The thing about the Passion if you do a side by side comparison of a 8 speed disc from another manufacture the rim (wing) are not even close. The passion's rim (wing) is closer to a 6 speed discs by other manufactures? You need to compare the Cicada VS River Vs Maul Vs IT Vs FD they all have very similar rims (wing) and feel.

It's essentially a similar flight to the Crave. Both are great discs that have a nice tight S flight with a forward to left finish Currently I don't throw my craves as I'm working on removing accidental anhyzers cuz it'll hold the turn right into a lake 😂 and the Cicada will probably donthe same lol

Yeah we messed with an audio setting that we don’t usually mess with when we edited it & it made my mic volume at the same level as the music. It’s been killing me. I feel bad about it, but there’s not much I can do to fix it except delete the video & reupload it with the fixed audio. At this point, I’m just trying to take it as a learning experience & do a better job adjusting next time. Hopefully it’s not completely unbearable.

Throwing low and into the ground is usually a sign you're pulling through too quickly or leaning forward during your reachback, which usually leads to being off balance on your plant leg. Notice your ground shot with the Passion you literally fall/off your plant foot. Good content/editing. Keep up the good work 👍

Thank you! I actually ended up throwing my wave after I finished recording and got to 338 so I made an ever bigger PR than I showed in my video which was exciting. I think I do like the grip I can get on the cicada better. I felt I was able to hold on to it better. I’m not a huge fan of the passion’s rim either, but I can always rely on it to go straight even after it’s been beat in which is why I still throw it. It’s definitely handy to have but the cicada felt great.
