You've certainly achieved a lot this week, well done Suzi. I agree with the previous comment, you should get that wood off the ground and stack it, on the ground it will soak up water and moisture from the ground.

Hi Susie, many mentions re your logs for Winter and suggestions about placing them on pallets. I'm wondering about the carport being a drier option ..or does roof leak badly. At least on a dbl pallet base, and a plastic cover the wind wont blow the rain in. Always projects when you have a property! Keeps one fit! Have a good week! Cheers.

I love the windows and door. I always prefer the "stained" look over just choosing a color of paint. Of course, depends on the situation but I do love seeing the wood grain. I would definitely stack that wood off the ground. I used to just get 2 or 3 cinder blocks and planks of wood, and stack on top of that, or a pallet situation.

The lime mix mortar looks fabulous on the rock wall! It makes a huge impact. Very satisfying to see how pretty the wall can be. Now go have some fun and "You Time" !😊

Pointing looks great. Keep going. Guttering is a must and will stop the walls from getting so wet. You might be able harvest the rainwater to a tank. The wood should be stacked but looks to big for a log burner and may need cutting in half. 😢

It’s a good idea to stack your wood pile on a pallet . It keeps an air flow underneath, it helps to keep it drier ,lifting it off the damp ground when wet winter starts.

Hi Susie. You can get bags for grouting similar to piping bags for icing cakes. Or a heavy duty plastic bag and cut the corner off. This will get the grout deep into joints. Let it almost set before taking off surplus.

Donkeys are work animals and like to be kept busy. They are gentle creatures if you treat them right. We had one, and I loved riding him around the village. My mom kept 100 chickens at our small homestead and sold them to neighbors. Our donkey is how we got around. I live in the USA now, but I treasure these sweet memories! 🇵🇹❤🇵🇹
