Just checked my early 2020 BT50 and it has a plastic frame that it sits in that has cable ties on it. Not sure if this was the case factory or not or if Mazda did something themselves when servicing to prevent it (or a known Mazda servicing fix)

Are you still happy with the 30 second? Also, do you find that Muller vent on the roof of the canopy keeps it cooler/vented?

We had a lot of trouble with the GoPro batteries also, they either don’t like it too hot or too cold! To help solve the problem we purchased the Volta handle that has the larger capacity battery in it. Have found less troubles now (but still not entirely disappeared)!

I have a 2019 BT50 I also tow a caravan around Australia we had the problem of a radiator that has a problem with top plate coming of and covering the main hole causing the motor to overheat while towing , this a problem they know about in a memo that I was told by service centre at Mazda .
@nissan20029 ай бұрын
If your serious about towing you need a V8

Hey mate. Glad you got it all sorted. Just curious tho. Is there a run in period for a brand new motor ? Or is it it fine to just start towing straight away. Cheers 👍

They didn't say but I did 1000ks with a few long runs as I want to tow soon. I did the same when I first got the BT 6 years ago.

My BT50 is having its second rebuild. It seems that the tyres last longer than the engine. Putting in a second high quality water separator and fuel filter this time along with new injectors, injector pump. Plus flushing the tank.

Glad you got a fantastic result. Our kids are about to order a Mazda CX5 Akera at about $60k and if Mazda had thrown you under the bus I would’ve recommended they go with their second choice from Toyota. Mazda, if you’re reading this, you just got another customer. Cheers.

Good to see the truck back on the road. I have a 2016 model where a similar thing happened while towing a caravan. i paid for a second hand one personally and I still have faith in its capabilities. All motors have their quirks and weaknesses. Just some are more costly than others and service from the dealers can be a deal breaker. All the best.
