I don't know why these people spread lies about the coming of Islam to Kashmir. Islam was brought to Kashmir by peaceful Sufi preachers who came from Iran and central Asia. One of the main reasons for the quick spread of Islam in Kashmir was that Kashmiri Shaivites believe in the oneness of God which is at the very centre of Islam, and the Sufi interpretation of Islam is almost same as Shaivite and other Hindu philosophies. In Kashmir' very long history no major bloodshed has been recorded which might have taken place in the name of religion except the one which took place during Mirza Haider Kashghari's reign in which a huge number of Shia Muslims were murdered and another which took place in 1948 when almost five lakh Muslims of Jammu region of Kashmir were brutally massacred by a large mob of Hindus which actually propmted the Tribal invasion from the newly born Pakistan into the beautiful valley of Kashmir. The bloodshed which took place in Kashmir in which mostly Muslims were killed and unfortunately a few hundred Hindus were also killed, was totally of political nature and not that of religious one. But unfortunately Indian politicians and certain accademcians there try to distort the reality in order to get political gains and level the ground for Islamophobia. Interestingly, all of Kashmiris irrespective of their faith love and respect each other for the fact that Kashmiris adore their Kashmiriyat and their inborn nationalty. Kashmiris always put their nationalty first, they often say 'aes Kashir' or we Kashmiris.

I usually don't comment, but off late, seeing all the negative comments on Kashmiri Shaivism videos, especially from my country folk, I was compelled to write. The majority of the translations and restorations of very few remaining texts themselves have been done by Westerners in KS. Mark Dyczkowski, Bettina Sharada Baumer, Paul Ortega-Muller, Igor Kufayev, Boris Marjanovic, Christopher Wallis, Christopher Tompkins, Swami Shankarananda, Gabriel Pradiipaka... to name a few. The only two Gurus from our own culture are Swami Sarvapriyananda ji and Saivacarya Sthaneshwar Timalsina (Nepal). Credit must be given where it's due. Ask any common person if they have even heard of Swami Lakshman joo. Most Indians have just come online in the last 5 years, due to the proliferation of cheap and free unlimited cellphone data. They have ZERO knowledge of etiquette or culture, and all they know is to make snide comments behind anon IDs. These NPCs have no individuality, all operate from hive mind, based on WhatsApp forwards, and have a fixed phrase book (woke, mlechcha, marxist/mullah/missionary). They cannot digest the fact that NRI and Westerners know our culture better than us, because all of them have been indoctrinated to hate the West. This shame+guilt, along with an inherent inferiority complex, comes out on Kashmir Shaivism videos. From belittling the pronunciation to trying to school them in the verbosity of the texts (both of which are inherently features of Abrahamic fanatics), they leave no stone unturned to make a mockery of our country and people online. Such masses are brainwashed by the government and media here, both of whom who are just using the Hindu identity as a tool to achieve their goals. They are the Useful Idiots who will be cast aside once the state fuses with religion, unfortunately the exact opposite of what Sanatan Dharma is. These occult sadhanas are perhaps the most difficult, yet most rewarding journeys in our quest. Pranaams to all these Gurus, irrespective of nationality, religion, gender and ethnicity, who have done epic work over the last 50 years to revive KS. On the other hand, not a single road or public place named after any Gurus of KS - Abhinavagupta, Kshemaraja, Utpaladeva and so many more... No wonder religion flourished best without government. Protip: Great Leader and Nationalistic Patriotic Party are the enemy of Hindus. You will realize by 2047.

It is amazing that despite the fanaticism and the barbarian attitude of those conquerors, 1000 yeas later, in Italy, I was able to read, listen, and watch about Abhinavagupta. The effort to preserve its teachings even in dark times, was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for this documentary, hope to visit Kashmir one day.
