how did you go about making the blinds close one by one like that?
@dertobbe11764 күн бұрын
Take a cube and make the shape of one Segment. Give it an array modifier and choose your Segment count. Make a New curve were you want the movement. Give your cube Segment a curve modifier to alling it along the curve on Z. Make sure your cube and curve habe the same location origin and all rotations and scales are applied. If setup correctly you can now move your cube along Z amd it follows the curve

Is there a way to maintain the shape of an object while allowing it to change size as it moves along a curve? For instance, when creating feathers for a wing?

hello sir, is it possible you help me quick, i have an object, parented to a triangle like you showed, now i have made a Arrow path from a plane and converted into curve object, all apply with ctrl+ a. but when i add the curve to the modifier my objects are stretched and in the curves its very flat..how can i fix this ? i face this issue everytime i use curve to arrange objects along...every single time it messed up, its like i cant use them..can you help me ? everything is on 0,0,0 location, i dont understand whats wrong

Remember, add curve modifier to the triangle, not the object

Does it has to follow the triangles ,is it easier this way,or it could work with quadrant too?

Yes, with triagles you can avoid the non manifold issue

Instead of tweaking the curve to the object, you can select the mesh, go into edit mode, select an entire loop that goes around the object, shift+D to duplicate, right click, separate selection, select the loop you separated, and right click, convert to curve. :)
@simsimsim-n2t2 жыл бұрын
yes, but when we have a mesh with bad topology, we can't select any loop here dude
@canis_machina72802 жыл бұрын
@@simsimsim-n2t I see what you mean, but that's also why good topology is so important. It can make your workflow when detailing far easier. When I first started using blender 1.6 in 2001 shading errors and smooth shading options were terrible. It forced me to get used to plain quad and poly building haha.
