@@mikekamra4624 You’re right, the Massacre of Verden occurred after a Saxon rebellion in which Charlemagne’s forces suffered a major defeat. In response, Charlemagne ordered the execution of around 4,500 captured Saxons. This decision was likely driven by a combination of factors: an attempt to deter further rebellion, consolidate his empire, and ensure the spread of Christianity. The Christianization of Scandinavia did not follow several Centuries after the forced Conversion of the Saxons but started at that Time. Harald Bluetooth confessed to Christianity on the Runestones of Jelling which where dedicated to his Pagan Father Gorm and his Mother. By the Year 1000 even Iceland made Christianity the only Public Religion, allowing for Paganism only in private Homes.

As the Saxons were forced to be baptised as a result of Charlemagnes Saxon Wars 772-804 AD, and Harald Bluetooth converted probably during the reign of Holy Roman Emperor Otto I or II, so 962-983 and thus about two centuries later, I would argue that the expression "several centuries later" is valid here.

The Nicene creed does not supersede scripture itself. This is the problem with orthodoxy: the church itself is given precedent over scripture, when scripture is inherent, static, and unchanging; the church, however, is filled with dynamic, errant, and diverse people. We will never agree on everything, and that's why scripture is more important than any creed that humans can come up with. Scripture itself is inspired by the Holy Spirit, creeds are not necessarily.
@dynamic90164 күн бұрын
While I understand your reasoning, but you must remember that the Church was used by the Holy Spirit to know the inspired word of God and to canonized it..The Church is the means by which the Lord will preserve the Truth. How do you know the books of the Bible are the word of God?..

The Germanic tribes are The Lost Sheep of The House of Israel. They are the stone cut from the mountain without hands that God would use to bring an end to the Roman Empire (beast system which had ruled over men) The White European peoples are the offspring of The Ancient Israelites who were carried off from the land of Canaan circa 740BC by the Assyrians, this was a punishment from God for their race mixing and idolatry ( seven times punishment 7 X 365 years = 2,520 years) while only a remnant of Judah and Benjamin were left to fulfill the prophecies concerning The Messiah. Where the history of the Isrealites ends in 740BC so begins the history of the Cymmerians, Saxons, Celts etc...... ie. And my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of God, who sent me.” John 5:30 Jesus said, "he who sent me is reliable, and I tell the world what I have heard from him. I do nothing on my own, but speak just what God has taught me. God is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases HIM.” John 8:26,28-29 Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. God will love him, and WE will come to him and make OUR home with them.” John 14:23 Jesus said to God, "glorify your son, that your son may glorify YOU. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God; AND Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:1-3 And there is much, much more.
