I just summited an intense ride of hunger and determined goal. I started at 7,500 feet and made it above 11,000 feet. I did not fully reach my goal but very close. I will return. I did get to reach the tip of the South point and what a ride. It took 11 hours and next time will get to this point in 9 hours.

The main error in the logic is that it may be easy for Matt to add distance as he said, but he would have to retain his accuracy while doing so and this is objectively a skill.

In some cases it's a skill. In some cases it's a natural thing due to the size of the strength of the player. But flying the ball 320+ off the tee and keeping it in or near the fairway so that it leads to a low score is definitely a skill.
