i agree with you about Inventory / Green Bar Quests. Dont want to discourage you but if you think Green Bar Quests are worst in End of Dragons wait till you see Secrets of the Obscure. There you will be pissed off near the end where after each instance you will be doing that shit over and over again. Also Inventory wars 2 was GW2 acronym back in the day they reduced it tremendously in newer expansion but still the old content being evergreen is doing that (Trophies for long collections, Bloodstone Dust, Dragonite Ore, Empyreal Fragments - these items are used for feeding the collection items like Mawdrey and its pointless most veterans chug it from bag). The story bugs most people dont acknowledge because they played the story years ago but when you play it today it is really buggy. I got stuck in Eod, Living Season 2 instances numerous times so you got a point.

Best thing is that for legendary gear even player that pays with money need to grind same as f2p.

From an 7k hour vet perspective, I don't see your point on the bugs Ye green bar filler quests are annoying I agree on that If you are patient and don't want to play through old living world at once as a new player you also get them for free over time. Also you can get gems for gold so you could buy inventory slots with gold basically I see instantly a lot of things that don't have to be in your inventory as you talked about "inventory wars" 😅 On slothasor your camera zooms in because there is a wall spawning behind you 😅 Raid content is peak of you got a static group but only worth for legy gear "Many bugs"😅

Bought the expansions and i literally couldnt progress the story due to a bug. Tried it like 4 different times until eventually it worked. Liked the game and invited some friends, 2 out of 3 of them had the same quest bug and ended up quiting :\. The combat and classes are great, but the bugs killed the fun for my friends and i.

Inventory is just a problem at the beginning - when you dont know which items you should keep, which items sell, or destroy. the inventory in this video is a nightmare. i played gw2 for more than 10k hours. and i spend almost zero time with this.

I tried ff14 three times, but I just could not enjoy that boring ass combat and 2-second global. The early dungeons were the most boring and basic dungeons ever.. awful ui. Reading quest text for hours and hours was just painfully boring. But I love GW2, especially the combat. It's so indept and skill-based in pvp. Funny how we all like different things 😋

Glad you tried the game because it has a lot of amazing features that other people will ask for for in other games (the famous "please copy this but make it better"). One thing i deeply wish for in GW2 is having a company of adventurers npcs like in FFXIV to help me solo the dungeons since the dungeon contents are a little annoying to put people through nowadays.

😂 the inventory is easy in gw2 if you just think of it as sell everything or salvage everything. the way gw2 veterans solved the inventory and bank slot problems is by having multiple alts used as banks with their inventory bags. people would store stacks of items in inventory on a different toon / character because they didn’t want to buy bank tabs. 😂😂😂 players figured out most of this stuff but the newbs are slow to how veterans just side stepped gw2 inconveniences. there’s a reason why gw2 falls into a niche market of players, i’d say gw2 players are resilient and innovative in terms of problem solving than most other games. as for knowing what to keep, that depends on what your goal is. the biggest tip i can give you is that anything yellow or gold tier weapon or armor, you should salvage them for ectos. ectos are basically essential in most high level crafting. everything else you can salvage or sell unless you’re doing an achievement collection.

you can use xpadder or other remapping tools to map your controllers key to keyboard and mouse and thus doesn't need the steam version ^^

Say what you want about popularity, the 2 games are extremely different games with different strengths and weaknesses. I personally hated the combat in FF14, I really wanted to like the game but just couldn't. Gw2s strengths isnt in there instanced encounters, its on there open world boss fights/events, exploration, and mounts. from what i can see FF14 has some of the best instanced raid encounters of all time; im not as informed on the topic but i would assume wow and FF14 are neck and neck for best encounter designs. All in all funny video, some people just need to touch grass and understand where their fandom is placed amongst other fandoms lol.

The only negative thing I disagree with is your complaint of the gem system. The other stuff yeah I agree and some ppl can take it or leave, but I think the gem system is fine. You buy the whole season on the store. You buy chapter by chapter in the journal. If you were playing actively when they were released they were free, so some people may have only missed 1 chapter for example and don't need to buy the whole thing. So I think that's more just bad design of it not discounting in the journal based on how many of the chapters you are missing so that they come out the same. Also, I think the bag slots thing is just personal preference they're not required, but at the same time. You said you play FFXIV and you have to pay to keep access to a game you already bought so... =) I don't think you considered that the game is free to play each month and only required a one time purchase. At the worst rate of conversion, for every $15 you spend on FFXIV you can buy at least 1 bag slot worth of gems if you wanted to, something to consider.

As a longtime GW2 player, former FFXI player, former WOW player (never played FFXIV), respect. There is just no question that WOW and FFXIV have continued their dominance in the genre. When I compare GW2 to WOW, there are dev mistakes that cost them their elite community and their social media community over the years. For example, GW2 blew up their budget on raids. Raids were a SIDE STORY, not needed for the main story lol. Raids launched when LFG launched but there was no raid LFG. Raids also had NO SCALING DIFFICULTY in a game where the majority player base is casual and HATED WVW lol. Incidentally WVWers HATE PVE lol. Arenanet is always trying to be different and avoiding everything that just works. Any of their success is practically by accident. Straight up.

Inventory management takes a few seconds, really. Right click and identify gear in bulk, salvage everything in bulk, deposit materials in bulk with a single click. Inventory slots, or whatever they're called, are just for bags and those bags vary in size. You can just get 20 slot bags from the trading post for cheap, or craft them yourself. I play daily, and I do my dailies plus the flax farm, and any events that take place around the flax farm in Tangled Depths usually, and after all that it takes seconds to manage inventory. Seconds. Reason why living worlds are sold in two places is that when they were released you got them for free if you logged in during the window of their availability. If you missed out on some specific chapter, you could pick them up individually. I had to do that with some of LWS3 and 4 because I couldn't log in at the times they were free. This is why they are sold in two different ways.

FF14 is more popular 100% better MMO that's your opinion and i respect that but just because the game has more people does not mean is better.

Sorry but I just can’t get behind your PvP in open world take. There are plenty of people out there who hate PvP (myself included) and as such stick to PvE modes. To see PvP infiltrate it would be majorly upsetting.
