🧮✨🖼 And a little bit ghostly. I think I missed the 31edo version as this one seems like the first time I hear it.

Very nice! I want to record it myself, I can tune my digital piano to 17edo and make a recording. Would you be interested in that? Please let me know! (I also made some microtonal pieces)

@@lunagardvonbingen Oh alright, it just sounds awfully like a bad word.
@ayeronical
@ayeronical 22 күн бұрын
@bwuhhhhhhhhhh because it's a word rooting from said 'bad word', ritardando from the Italian term ritardare, which came from the Latin term retardāre. It wasn't really a bad word, it's used as part of a medical term, but society decides that everything is an insult and gets commended for it nowadays so that's that.

This is a beautiful piece. The 17edo tuning reminds me of a couple of Iranian quartertonal modes.

👏👏👏 Congrats! It’s very nice these two pieces are so motif-rich. I haven’t listened to a thing like that for a long time if ever. It’s even like it’s an element of your overall style if I’m to try and remember other stuff? 🙂

Thank you! In my music I often try to organize pieces around a small number of simple motifs, but I went a bit overboard with it for these pieces. Since the music was for a special day, I made a point to use motifs that already had meaning to me and Nadya.

Such immensely touching music. Wistfulness yes, but it goes far beyond that. When listening to it with the setting of autumn in mind, it brings to life all the little beautiful things that make this season so attractive. Foggy fields and woods, the smell of rotting leaves, the explosion of red, orange, brown and yellow shades of color, spider webs sparkling with millions of tiny dew drops, water dropping from leaves, and the sudden calmness after all the excitement during summer. I love this piece! 😊

I know people with allergy of that kind. 😢 That’s probably a torture even with all preparations and countermeasures. At least I’m free from that. Once I plunged my nose into a dandellion (or maybe several) and was told I got a yellow nose. And it was nothing!

I can't get past the major thirds. Not only are they twice as far from 5/4 as the typical 19edo major third, they're off in the *opposite direction*, which makes them sound especially strange

THIS IS THE NEW FRONTIER OF MUSIC!! you compose so... impossibly, its like the worst intervals were so intentionally chosen to make this masterpiece... how could one do that?? 12 is magically terrible, and that is magically wonderful

For me it doesn't matter if this isn't really xen or that you ignored all the rules of counterpoint, as long as it sounds good. It sounds really good for me personally!
