Sarah, encourage your viewers to trigger that bell. 🔔 I’m happy you’re feeling more yourself. I had a few panic attacks decades ago. Scared the heck out of me. I know your experience is different. I just wanted you to know I’m empathizing. Yes, the past can be scary and smothering. That’s why mindfulness is so important; live in the moment. Your book is fabulous! I ❤️ the elephant on the cover. There’s always a lot of cool things in your books. Luv ya! 💜💜💜

Thanks so much, Maggie! I’m excited that you’re going to do flip throughs, too!!! For me, the crafting / art is completely enjoyable; the flip throughs are always something I kind of have to force myself to do… but once I get into them, they’re so enjoyable to do and it’s really rewarding to get to connect with other like minded crafters. Don’t worry too much about yours, and it’s okay to be nervous. I’ve seen a lot of different journal makers and each had a unique way of sharing her art; you’ll be perfect. And of course, I’ll be honoured to watch. 💗💗💗

@@sarahsjournals Childhood trauma, like child abuse or neglect, causes (anxiety of such) people that show love in written form by message that boost the individual self-esteem, or writing a pen pal, dietary adjustments, such as becoming vegan doesn’t create anxiety, all meat eaters become anxiety, and when that individual knows that individual doesn’t eat meat especially if that individual is a doctor, that individual will create an illusion by telling the vegan person that’s (free from anxiety) that they have anxiety problems and to take this medication, anxiety problems are caused by dietary adjustments, and trauma, abuse or neglect, if someone shows you love or in any form or fashion for example through a messaging or boost your self-esteem there is no room for anxiety or anxiety problems, verbal and written abuse creates anxiety problems, by insults or fat shaming etc or bullying in written form causes such anxiety problems, not those that stand by you for a physical lifetime, something to think about.

Sarah, it‘s so good to see you here again! I thought a lot about you over those past weeks, hoping you‘re coming over whatever you’re struggling with. Because of you asked, actually it was stumbling accidentally over you and your youtube channel that brought me through my challenging times. The unique style of your work and your chatting caught me and made me open to step out my comfort zone. And then you connected me with the amazing and so encouraging Cat. So the two of you brought me on a new way of my journey and here I am, enjoying what I‘m doing, trying new things and exploring myself in a new way😅. I think what I was looking for was myself; I had become so caught up with weird online strangers and their idea of what I'm supposed to be, (long story, but I've learned that not everyone who writes to me deserves a reply... something I hope everyone online knows and gives themselves the grace to withhold,) and the cult stuff, and social expectations of what someone my age "should" be doing, etc. My art took a backseat and I had kind of anxiety about coming back online, embarrassed about silly things I posted while going through the tough spell. Anyhow, now that I've gotten back into the crafting again, it feels a lot like coming home. 🏡 Thanks again! I hope you're doing well, too, and that you always have what inspires you in life. 🥰💝

Great journal, Sarah!! Glad to see you again. I was just thinking about you not to long ago, so I was happy to see you had a flip through. Thanks for sharing your awesome work!! One day at a time. That's kind of a saying I use when things get crazy and stressful! Also, give yourself some love! You seem like a loving, caring person. So take some time for yourself. Also, some times you just have to step away from your art. Even when I'm not working on a journal I find myself thinking about the journal. Peace!😍😍😍😍

Thanks, Catherine! You’re so right that sometimes we have to step back from our craft. I kind of stressed myself out trying to get a new journal ready every Saturday. Eek. From now on, I’ll try to do it more as a passion than a requirement. And I hear you on thinking about a journal even when you’re not working on one haha. 💜💯

Good to see you back this journal came out awesome a nice break can really help you focus with your art. I had to evacuate from one of those hurricanes so I've been busy with that but everything turned out OK (shiva helped keep me safe). I wish you all the best with your health I have had a few dark moments and they are not fun.

Hi Brian! Thanks so much for the support, and yikes! Crazy that you were evacuated! I’m so glad it turned out okay for you. I have a close friend in Miami and I was on pins and needles this storm season. (I always pray for all the people and animals affected.)

hey Sarah, what a beautyful idea to include original art in the journal! I guess it‘s not what you’re selling that makes you an artist - to be an artist is this constant need to create, there’s no way you could not… and to express your feelings, thoughts, likes, … this way - no matter if others relate to it or not. thank you for sharing your thoughts and let us be part of the beginning of a new direction you’re going in this video. I’m looking forward to see what you’re coming up with, although I hope you somehow combine it with your wonderful journals I so do love … or at least your not going to quit making journals at all😉 wish you all the best on your new way and I‘m excited to watch it in future 🤗Angelika

hello Sarah for me each Page in journal is not planned as is most of my art unless it is a commission requested or a theme for a certain journal but as how they come out is not necessarily planned . So a lot of my art is not planned , sometimes I get a vision of what to paint , with all pieces though I am never sure how it will turn out as some times I have no idea how I have even created what comes out as does feel channeled as I have not been able to tend any classes. I was told That I channel my inner Genius being higher self or may be is others not sure . As I have said I believe in another comment your Art is beautiful and my thought to that is important for you to show your beautiful art dear 😊💖💖 I just finished 2 Mermaid Journals which I just have film the flip throughs and upload now. I try to do some thing creative every day even if it is for a few minutes .

I so appreciate that! Over the years, I've thought about starting a whole channel for art a few times, but have always made excuses not to. At this point, though, I'm drawing every day anyway and feel like... why not?

Your art style has always been awesome I don't think i would have ever remembered my sleeping artistic talent if It wasn't for your videos. I was never a "technically" good artist but I was able to overcome that through flowy creativity, I got a buddha board recently to practice without having to worry about wasting paper. I still have one of your postcards pinned up on my mirror and I'm feeling another creative rush in my life coming on. Hopefully I can sustain it and improve.

Thanks so much, Brian! I'm so glad my art has inspired you. And WHOA I haven't thought about Buddha boards in decades! I actually used to know the mother of the man who invented them - they live right here in my home town, and she went to university with my grandparents! One day while I was working at a shop, she brought in a Buddha Board as a gift for me, excited to tell me all about her son who made them. It was one of the originals, and I loved that thing. (Sadly, one of the many objects I gave away when I moved to India.) I love how inky black it makes ordinary water appear, and it's so meditative, and, like you said, you can get into the flow state without attachment to the result since it evaporates. So cool that you have one!!!

oh Sarah I knew you would use the stuff I sent in a cool way😄! I love how the playing card with the parrot works on the page with your sari trims or how the bookpage from „1001 nights“ peeks out the folded paper just to add a little different shade of color … and of course the whole journal is fabulous, you pimped it up just Sarahlike - love it! The origamipapercorner and the envelope „bookmark“ are supercool … 🤗Angelika

Hi Sarah!! Wow what a beautiful bracelet!! I love anything ocean and this is so cool. The journal turned out so beautiful and so full of ephemera! I love the Magic Eye postcard. You put a vintage 3D pictures that you put in a hand held devise in one of your recent journals and I did the eye thing and it worked It made the cathedral come alive It was so cool! I used to love those books with the 3D images. Anyway this journal is full of special treasures and I love it! 💖💖💖

Hello dear yes I forgot to mention lat time for you to show more of your beautiful abstracts your art work is stunning dear , beautiful journal .I am finishing up 2 mermaid journals, and a painting for My grandson of a magical forest with fireflies is what he wanted and some other things I will be doing soon, to I just finished a couple of journals to Nicky Alan Psychic medium here on youtube they are up now on my Channel so happy she loved them so much it is so wonderful when we can bring such joy to other. Dear Beautiful Sarah so sorry the teacher was this way with you and so very sad that at that time she followed along with many other then embracing your uniqueness ,and beautiful in your Art that comes from the depth of your soul . prayers for her to awaken , to Celebrate the beauty of Art that is an expression of ones soul . I had a teacher who thought Abstract was his favorite and that's all he had us do , most of my teachers were encouraging and had wonderful things to say to me. 2 of my daughters had a teacher though who was very discouraging and did not know much about all forms of Art and was very discouraging told one daughter what she was doing was no Art and to throw it in to the Garbage , was so disheartening as she never pursued Art any further. very Sad I did share my thoughts with her and enlighted her on what she was doing as was Celtic art . Prayers for her to as she did hurt many students,is so sad when there are teachers such as this . Enjoyed video dear journal is lovely you are making For May do love her papers she does the coffee dyed papers are stunning.. Kats stones Art is beautiful.💖💖💖

Sarah, you know I love your journals and I even purchased 2 of the ones you listed in your etsy shop - but for me the most beautiful ones are always the journals you make for like May or Cat, for those who are dear to you! there‘s so much coming from this inner connection you have with them I think, that makes this ones turning out so special! I love what you did in this video! May is a lucky one to receive another great journal from you😊 and this special art teacher - I think at least she taught you precious lessons for life and your personality by acting the way she did😉. every challenging situation or mean people we are confronted with throughout our lives leaves something positive for ourselves, don’t they🤔 🤗Angelika
