Craft with Me: Decorating the Textile Collage Cover for my Personal Junk Journal

Hello, my crafty friend, and thanks for tuning in! I didn't have a journal ready to flip through this week, so instead, I decided to show off the beginning stages of my "day journal" and "night journal," a pair of books I'm working on for my personal collection. I hope you find some inspiration to get into your own stash and work on something beautiful.

Lovely to see how these covers come together. They very much give the feeling of your intentions. The colours and forms work with each other perfectly. One can imagine the clothing and hats these were intended to bring to glittering life. They are happy and uplifting sometimes, while others are deep and introspective. Each of your journals represent a journey for the recipient, although they make the choices that define the path of the journey. I have a large bag filled with off cut material from costumes I acted in over the years. Perhaps one day they will find their places in a special journal of my years on stages. This is joyful…🖤🇨🇦

Such an exquisite front cover! The Night cover will be just as lovely because of your talent for composition and placement. It is a pleasure to watch your creativity flower into such beauty. I think we who watch you say, silently.. “Ah …yes… that is perfect placed there’’. May finds the most wonderful things. I can imagine her walking through Bazaars and little shops hunting for the most delicate and loveliest treasures for her dearest friend. Hi Sarah I really enjoyed this video it really inspired me to start my own after months of not making journals your very contagious...i love your ideas and your fabrics and embellishments...i have so many beautiful things just sitting waiting to be made into something beautiful as your book...just have to get off my lazy ass😂.oh one time i used a pair of earings i went to snap the backs off but thought id check it for marks licky i did it had a 750 which means 18kt gold it was platinum or white gold studded earings worth about 1200 Australian dollars 😂😂 so always look carefully..

I enjoyed this video and your Night time Journal .I have been busy, taking a class and I have my first Grandbaby!! I used to have plenty of time to watch your videos in full - usually more than once . so this was nice . I am spring cleaning this beautiful day. I am working on 3 journals to donate to the Paws Clinic spay/neuter non profit. Little Golden Books. a Betty White a dog journal and a cat journal. Just finished a JJ challenge. $20 budget only dollar store items . It turned out pretty cool! Have a good week- 😊

I've been thinking of making a Brigitte Bardot journal at some point, to donate to an animal rescue auction. (I'm just waiting for the right one.) Did you take photos of any of those journals? Hi Sarah..I'm watching again...i would love to see how u pick out pages and decorate too...i have a buddah book with beautiful gold images but theyre all so big id have to make a huge one lol!!😂just confused about how to go about picking out pages without crying...breaking the book then decorating...you dont have to talk at all....film yourself crafting and put soft music behind it that way you have the stress free filming without comming up with things to say and we get to pick your brain for ideas 😂irene xx
