Bummer:( I had something similar happen at the Gila Hotsprings too, friggin people!!!! Animals just want food they might make a mess of your stuff, but they just want to eat, I can relate. Bad humans will look u in the face, smile, and rob u blind. It's important to remember tho, that for every piece of crap out there that does this, there are probably 100 of us that don't! Shit happens but don't let it get you too down. Reasons like this it can be sketchy to do solos. Be safe out there .

We went there for years, we ran into the same problem you did. Too many people parked to close. I didn't know about the upper ones. Might try again. Thanks for the video.

Beautiful place , i drove through that canyon last summer , and discovered the California trail markers . Just imagine rolling through there 175 years ago in covered wagons , i wonder if they enjoyed a soak too .

There's another one in this area I haven't been to, not sure if it is private property or not. I've been to this one long ago. High ground clearance is a must, 4WD might be helpful, but it is all "roads." The dam and canal structures served a city that went bust.

I wouldn't camp there, especially alone. Reading comments it seems some places around there are being watched. Dogs alone don't keep women safe, they'll be looking to YOU for protection if trouble visits fr

I was in that spring one time that it was 0 degrees outside and the pool was 106 so the source must vary in temp I have also seen drastic temp changes at Bog.

They knew what they were doing. So, sickening sad. There are some great people in the world but some equally cruel ones. So very sorry this happened.

Someone probably thought it was an abandoned campsite. All the years of camping nothing is left out when I leave the camp site. I have seen people leave things behind when they leave the camp site
@ChubbyUnicorn26 күн бұрын
Up into the 2000s you could leave your camp almost anywhere in Rockies, but too many remote workers, homeless, and desperate people are camping now so you can't leave your camp at all anymore to hike during the day. It really sucks. (Edit: most remote workers weren't raised in the West or with outdoors/ wilderness ethics and tend to have zero respect for others.)
@benjaminrush444327 күн бұрын
Someone knew they were robbing a camp. Can't leave anything out in the open. I've been lucky. I usually set up a larger tent and everything gets stored inside or goes with me in the vehicle. Only wood, some cloths to air-out and washed pot, pan, plate, bowl, cup & utensils on a table to air dry are out. Got to keep close to a set-up camp. Can be bad in isolation out in the boonies. It only takes one of "them" to ruin a great wilderness trip - moment.
