I have a metal instrument like yours to make a quarter inch seam. Do you measure from the sewing needle, and then put the metal instrument in the position from the needle. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. I watched your quarter inch video. It was fantastic.

Do you have a guide as to what size square to start with in order to will yield a specific size? I can’t remember the rule. Is it a 7/8 larger than the size you want to end up with?

Looking at your HST Guide, it looks like you should start with a 12" square to get 32 x 2.5" squares. But I think this video says cut a 13" square?? Clarification would be welcomed!
