Thank you for telling this young man not to apologize. It really made me feel bad for him in the last video, he did nothing wrong. I think he felt that because he was a young black man no one was believing him. This young man was so respectful and mature while being relentless about the cop stealing his money. I am so glad that he was heard. That cop that stole his money is a complete disgrace.

What is just as disgusting was the obvious effort by his fellow officers to NOT INVESTIGATE. They tried to take his (the victim's) attention away from the issue multiple times, the female officer said "tone it down" (he wasn't attacking or yelling, simply explaining in detail what he witnessed and saw, how else are you supposed to react when a grand is stolen from you by a POLICE OFFICER), and they refused to search the Chapman despite the man's pleas. If no body cameras had been around, none of this would have been investigated and Chapman got away with it. They should all be ashamed for not searching him IMMEDIATELY and for gaslighting the victim.

The cop took one look at the detainee and immediately thought "drug dealer" and thought his money was up for grabs. I think the most disgusting part of this was his absolute certainty that he would get away with it and that the suspect wouldn't be believed. And it almost worked. He was standing there smirking, completely silent, head held high, and confident that the other officers would side with him. Hell with the way the other cops were acting they were probably in on it

Exciting time Officer Williams, I remember my recruitment time in the early 80's. I laughed when I heard the Academy instructors refer to the old guys as "mossbacks" and told us we would be there before we knew it. Time went so fast that one day, 35 years later I woke up as one of those mossbacks. Now retired, I look back and wish I could do it all over. It's a calling brother, be safe!
