Do you have a video of discussion any trimmings during this yeard? I'm curious when/if I should trim during growth stages

1. Agree. 2. Disagree. 3. Disagree. 4. Agree. 5. Long beards are ugly, so I don't have an opinion on this one. 6. Disagree. Beard oil is waaaay over priced. Vaseline Men's care lotion does the trick. Inexpensively. 7. Disagree. A PLASTIC comb (and Vaseline Men's care lotion) will do the trick. Getting all fancy is stupid. 8. Disagree. Dumb. Just towel it, put Vaseline Men's care lotion on it, comb it with a PLASTIC comb and go be a man. This isn't rocket science. 9. Trim that fucker. With a scissors or a trimmer. Easy peasy. And a repeat of #6. Geeva Lou Christmas! This guy make it seem like you're trying to hatch a 65 million year old dinosaur egg. 10. Disagree. What a precious flower this guy is. Just use soap or shampoo. Towel it dry. Put some Vaseline Men's care in it. Drag a plastic comb through it and go be a man. Honestly! This guy probably treats his cast iron skillet like it's nuclear fisible material and his Red Wings like they're Faberge eggs. Everybody needs to calm down and be less boozhy.

I've got 3 months more growth on the face than the neck, letting it grow now, at 3 months on the neck and around 6 on the face, on the plus I will have the weight of the face hair to prevent it looking too untidy. Should have done similar on my head as it is starting to get unruly at 3 months growth, had the edges trimmed up but I'm just going to leave it a few months before getting anything major done. Go for maximum face, neck and head growth!

Great info! Thank you! Do you have a referral for a beard-barber in the Los Angeles area? I’ve “accidentally” grown my beard because I’ve not shaved since my son died 5 months ago. I want to keep the beard to honor my son 💔

I never understood the beard thing. It makes men look much older than they really are. I have never had the urge and I don't know if I had the urge where it would come from, I guess from Hollywood. I saw Dave Letterman who has a disgusting gray beard and he looks like Father Time's baby brother. Why? Likewise I don't like it when men shave their heads when they can still grow hair. Why look like cancer patient?

I don't have great facial hair growth and my mustache takes a long time to fill in and im letting it grow woth almost zero trimming, training it to the sides. Im now long enough to get good handlebars, but I do need to trim as I still get hairs that drop down over the day. How do I trim it? Im thinking of going to a barber to help trim to keep the handlebar shape, if possible. But not thin out the upper lip.

After a year of experimenting with all sorts of beard products, I came back to the trusty Bulldog brand. It's remarkable how good the products are for only a few quid.

Olive oil is great and far cheaper add a touch of perfume, job done. Most beard oils have olive oil in them and perfume.

As someone who has a 12” beard (growing since December 2019) here are my suggestions: throw away any scissors or clippers (they no longer exist), Biotin Biotin Biotin ! 20,000 mcg DAILY, and drink a TON of water. Then use your normal beard oil, butter, and balm.

I started growing a Beard in 2020 made a lot of mistakes. Then I saw this old-timer sitting in a store and I started talking to him. He had an awesome beard. I asked him a secret. He said, never cut it but regularly brush it. He was right. I'm finally getting there. At a minimum, if it bothers you, you can trim your French split. That's it!

It's like a trap, boss asks us to trim the neckline and it essentially auto-regulates the length. Because it looks thin as it grows longer, because it lacks the backing density of the neck hair, you end up constantly cutting it short and tight or giving up on having a beard at all, thinking it's bad genetics because you neutered the beard. Also, trimming the neckline is like pretending you have a full beard but it's in appearance only. It's a fake miniature beard like Disneyland is a real kingdom. That neck hair has so many benefits, it gives you a tactile feedback concerning your voice. The whole thing gives you additional information about every micro expression your lower face is making, it informs you about your smiles and frowns.

1. What the hell is a sidebeard 2. What about the cheeks? I cant tell what to do about them because I have to trim them very often to stop my face from puffing out but im wondering if I avoided trimming, would it look better and flatten with length or???

42 yrs old and having only had a full beard for about 6 months... I disagree on the first one... My moustache is not connected to my beard at the sides of my mouth and I don't grow hair in the middle part right under my nose. It is basicly a set of extra eyebrows under my nose. So I keep it trimmed short even though I have a full beard atm. It looks weird if I shave it completely off, but if I let it grow it becomes two odd fluffy eyebrows that just seems out of place and uncontrollable... I do keep my beard fairly trimmed and well kept also to match it all up. -But it is all about individual taste and preferende I guess. The second reason is just about eating. I hate my mustache being in the way...

Hi, like your video's. Today is my 6 month yeard. absolutely positive surprised how full and dense it is. Just as yours very curly. I use a lot if oil. I have a problem with balm or butter. To style it, it works, but after some hours is just explodes and very difficult to adjust. You have same problem? Love to see how you progress to a long beard. My intention as well. Please share more video's. Greetings from the Netherlands

Good advice the neck beard anchors the rest of the beard and helps the cheeks lay flat
