2:03 in...... The crazy steep angle on that turn fin is going to dig that sponson into the water; BIG TIME. I'll watch more of your vid and see if you catch it. Edit: No. you didn't. You want the "hook" on the turn fin parallel to the direction of travel. What you have is putting a lot of energy into digging the sponson in. Handling will be 100% better of you set it up right. Look at how Big B has his fin situated; that's how it's supposed to be.

Then sprayed waterproof silicone wd40 all over it Seems to be working fine now... But always works fine at home... It's weird... Maybe we're do for a new firmware update soon

Had a cop roll up on me while running my rc truck in a parking lot. Thought for sure he was gonna tell me to get lost. Instead, he tells me he's gonna park over yonder and could I run my truck straight at him? He wanted to see if he could get it on the gun. 42mph! Coolest cop ever.

Love the color scheme . Super smooth ovals . A friendly suggestion if you don’t mind . It would be good if the background music could be a little lower so I can hear the acceleration of the boat . Loved this video . If you are trying on different props it would be good to have a speed comparison . Also if this prop was big for the boat it did not put a demand on the current to cause the wires to heat up ? Thanks
@JANDRMARINE13 күн бұрын
Thanks for the info Yes I will lower the volume to be more subtle from now on of I add music. Regarding the prop size. I mean the boats run well with this prop and motor set up. In the previous 1.0 version she ran a bit warmer on the esc and battery with this sized prop. So I'm just "comparing" I guess. I thought it would put MORE heat through the system than what it did... It's hard to tell.. But we'll try it again with a strut adjustment and battery placement..
@mad_lizard13 күн бұрын
Not too shabby, I will call that successful. No encounter with walls and came back on its own power. Good starting point and more tuning in indeed. The oversteering could be the sponson is hooking the water or COG balance point might be slightly often a little two nose heavy. Clean run by the way still. I am following to see what you can do with this boat
@JANDRMARINE13 күн бұрын
You know... I didn't even check center of gravity now thst you mentioned it.. I threw the pack in her where I usually did in the 1.0 and just drove.. I was so nervous about sinking another boat... I kinda just wanted to get it over with 😂🤦♂️ The flycolor 90 is significantly heavier the the castle sidewinder I had in the previous boat. I SHOULD probably check cg next time.. Now that I know she doesn't take on water. AND actually drives. For the 3rd attempt to go as well as it did. I was very pleased with this new baseline.

How many milliwatts is your transmitter? You may want to do the testing outside away from Fluorescent lights and wifi. If you're walking away from the receiver, the water in your body will absorb the signal.

@@highwaymen1237 the camera has a built in transmitter of 200 MW
@highwaymen123724 күн бұрын
@@JANDRMARINE That should be plenty of power. A lose antenna or mismatched or wrong length antenna can be a problem. Operating the transmitter and reciever on a frequency as close to 5.8GHz can help. Having the reciever very close to the RC transmitter can be a problem.
@mad_lizard18 күн бұрын
Couple things The added fans could be causing the video issue interference. Awesome maybe the quality of camera you might have On my personal recovery craft similar to what you have I don’t have this issue I run a separate camera to the transmitter so it’s not a all-in-one system, cooling on transmitter I robbed a cooling heat sink from my old dynamite 120, zip tie those two together, and then used a small 5 V water pump to control the heat off the transmitter. ESCI don’t have a problem with 850 KV motor 12 x 3 master air screw propeller on 4s

@JANDRMARINE26 күн бұрын
You're very welcome! I don't have the diagram in front of me.. But if I remember correctly (it's been a while) The remaining wire on the motor side should be the electric choke for the carb. If not.. It could be the power wire needed to let the system know to statt charging. (but I doubt that one more than the choke) If your engine has an electric choke feature.. That is most likely it.

Very sad state of affairs for the homeless. Sadly this is happening all around the world. I visited the US, SF and LA in the 90’s and witnessed a lot of homeless. At the time there was very little of the same in Melbourne where I lived at the time. Now, some decades later there is a marked in crease in homelessness in Melbourne and Adelaide. Presumably in all capital cities, satellite towns and suburbs too. State Governments are to blame as they have closed a lot of residential community housing for the disadvantaged. These people who need help with their health and all that goes with it are now on the streets. With regards to Melbourne at least from the mid 90’s awards, the state Premier Jeff Kennett from the Liberal Party, ( party who supports the wealthy, big wealthy business, and a reformist government at the time had a big input in the way homelessness evolved into the way it currently is in Melbourne. it’s even worse now in 2024. Cost of living is huge, there are very few rentals available,it’s not uncommon for 100 plus applicants to be lining up for an inspection for an apartment that is within budget of many. This is Australia wide. There is no housing in Australia, very little of it. Houses prices (mortgages) are beyond reach of so many. People have to rely on their inheritance or ‘ the bank of mum and dad ‘ to get themselves into a mortgage. This too is happening Australia wide. If you’re interested Google Australia’s housing crisis and it’s pathetic how the state and federal governments have failed the people and let this happen. Australia was once touted ‘ the lucky country’ and in some ways it still is.Homeless is plenty in Australia, in every state. Plenty of unusual scenes like the person in the box here too. They get aggressive, verbal you when you don’t give coin. I give when I feel like it and donate to charities where I know that the donation given will go to the people in need and not pocketed by the unscrupulous.
@JANDRMARINE29 күн бұрын
Well said. Unfortunately most homeless out here choose to be homeless.. It's warm. Year round.. It doesn't snow.. Barley rains.. They come from other states.. Live on the streets or in their cars or vans.. Cause all kinds of trouble.. In some cases murder. My friend was murdered by a transient in his 20s thst left Colorado... Just an unhinged person.. Heavily on drugs... Killed 2 random people in the same day.. One was my friend another was a father and off duty officer. It's sad our government officials value transients over law abiding tax paying residents. The future has some light on the horizon... Time will tell
