Thank you for actually giving symptoms i have 2012 acadia bought with 96k miles interior 9/10 really nice car not even two month passenger acuators go out so i replace those two. The temp and mode NOT the recirculation one. Works great next day go on 2 hr drive and the acuators start clicking again! This time i buy all 4 one on driver side 3 on passenger and they aint very easy to get to lol. This time when i did all 4 i pulled hvac fuse before i even plug them in obviously after they are all mounted, i plug them in, put fuse back which is also kind of a bear to get at, and then start car with out touching controls for 40secs i waited a minute shut it off for a minute and then turn it back on and try and they worked perfect. Well its my ladys car and she drives 40min one way to work next day she say its changing vent modes and blowin hot one side cold other on its own. I dont own a scan tool so i finally broke down and paid for diagnostics and finally ive got my answer hopefully this works going to replace in 2 days when it arrives and with what u said made me feel like this should finally fix the damn thing.

To help anyone doing this job, use a socket and tap that seal down. This will give you enough clearance for that snap ring and also break the seal, making it easier to remove. To install, tap it in far enough to clear the snap ring, install the snap ring, then use the screw to pull the seal back out to seat against the snap ring. Use a bit of PAG oil on your o-rings before installing the seal and this job will be easy.

I know this is an old video, but I used a comment from somebody else in this video. I had to use a socket in Hammer up a little bit to get the old snap ring out. Basically, had to do the same thing in reverse when I put in the new dryer. Hammer it up a bit with the socket, then with a normal pair of snapping pliers, I put in the new snap ring. In order to put the cat back on, I had to screw in a bolt into the screw hole and pulled down on the dryer so that it would be flush as possible. Then I was able to screw the cap on.

Very nice video. Clear illustrations of steps you took. Sometimes the mount has to be removed and sometimes not. I think it depends on the age of vehicle (in years) when the rubber dries out and shrinks and hardens. The Part 2 video shows more and is also good. After they fixed the initial issues with the variable valve timing, this has been an exceptionally reliable powertrain. A bitch in my opinion to work on. For so much of the stuff you really need to remove the whole thing from the car to work on it. (As the factory manual says). I like that you wore gloves a lot to keep your hands clean. I do the same thing. BTW the water pump is a lot more work.

Hello nice job. Question, someone did this for me, i guess they dropped the front of the subframe down a little like you, but strangely driving car today, it just feels different. I dunno. Does dropping the frame affect any of the front wheels, like when turning?
@JulianA-tr6pt
@JulianA-tr6pt 7 ай бұрын
Very late reply, but yeah, that may have screwed up your alignment. This can happen when both the front and back of the subframe are loosened, either side. Dropping only front or rear half is believed to not effect alignment, but it's possible. If it doesn't drive as straight as it should, pulls, or your tires are wearing out unevenly and quickly, an alignment needs performed. I wouldn't think this would make the alignment *too* bad, though (compared to tie rod ends or extensive suspension work for example).

I was ready to stick a rag in the tank and watch the hunk of junk burn!! Just wait until you need to pull the timing cover! Oil pan has to come off and the front axle runs right through the oil pan and is part of the front diff

Thank you for making this video it saved me $$$ and saved tons of time. I had attempted to pull the alternator fuse out and ruined it. The guy at the Toyota dealer said he’d seen many in worse shape. Seems like they would have put a note in the fuse diagram that it is locked in from the bottom.

Good video. I’m just finishing up putting the fuel rail back and now looking at reinstalling the intake. To be honest, taking it out was a bear, AC line in the way had to be gently tweaked a bit with much frustration. I noticed you made no note of alternator removal. That too was tough as the lowest bolt backed up into the AC line trapping my ratchet box wrench and the mistake was time consuming, a mistake my mechanic brother warned me about. For those interested in ratcheting box wrenches be sure to get the finger lever reversible set.

Also, these are known to leak fuel. Mine is an '04 and leaks intermittently. I can occasionally smell fuel and after checking under the hood, found a slight leak at this regulator. I've seen videos of these TB's and Envoys burning up so, new regulator inbound.
