Oh my goodness! Even neuronormals can do that. I accidentally left MY cholesterol med out of my pill caddy for a whole month and my triglycerides shot up to over 500! That’s how we discovered I’d forgotten to stock it 😮

Hi. Your Richard’s daughter right. ? Is your name Sandy or Molly? Ftd has come close to me. And I appreciate your videos very much.

Yes Richard is my Dad. My name is Sandy. The FB page that we are really active on is called Molly's Movement. So when I make update videos that is usually why Dad always says "hello Molly's Page". I am so sorry that you have to even encounter FTD in any way. It's not a fun disease at all and impacts each person so differently. We are very fortunate that my Dad has such a positive attitude. Thank you for taking the time to watch his videos! He really likes making them and it gives him a purpose and knows they are making a difference and bringing more awareness to FTD.

You definitely have a right to your opinion! It's my Dad's choice to share his story and talk about his FTD with the hopes that it helps others that might be dealing with the same thing he is. As far as me talking to him as a child that's what works for him and he doesn't feel that way - we actually talked about this last night and he feels that I talk to him like a teacher and it helps him understand things better. As for making money for doing this you might want to gather facts first before making such a bold comment. We make no money doing this - we are doing it to educate others and show his progression. I hope you can find peace in whatever it is going on in your life before attacking someone else for doing what works for them in their life.

this week on rumble I saw a teaching by Dr. Bryan Ardis on how nicotinic acid is in foods naturally and you can buy supplements of this form of nicotine to combat symptoms of dementia and other health issues. I ordered one for myself this week after hearing his research. Nicotine is not addictive, but they add 3 additive substances to it to get people hooked. Blessings

I am truly sorry that this video upsets you for whatever reason; however, I do know how much my Dad understands and how he feels and hence why I say it because it helps calm him down. You are only seeing a few minute snippet of the situation. I hope you find peace and comfort in whatever it is that you are dealing with in your own life so you don't feel the need to lash out at others publicly because you have to own opinion and feel the need to try to shame them for what works in their case for something personal obviously going on in your own life. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

I agree it hits everyone so differently. My Dad went through a phase where he was very apathetic too at the beginning. He can sometimes still be like that with somethings. But typically with me he is really happy go lucky. I try and work with him constantly to keep him busy and his mind active. Thoughts and prayers to you for having to deal with this with your husband. My husband has FTD as well. He's losing words, can't do any technology or drive but he's still amenable, making it easy to handle him. He still has good mobility which means we get to travel rather than he sit all day. His doctor says to keep doing what I'm doing as he's doing so well, therefore I've booked another 3 cruises. Ha ha. Of course the wheels might fall off tomorrow but we can't stop planning just because of "what if?" On the ship he wears a badge that says 'his name', that he's 'got dementia' and that 'words can confuse him.' People are usually kind, understanding and considerate when they know the situation. Also the shipping line uses medallions so if he gets lost its only a matter of finding his location in the app. We'll keep on keeping on while we can.

@terrymckay3002 Yes, he's on antipsychotic because of delusions that the drug helps to control. It was terrible until we got the right meds. We're cruising at the present, and he's really tried to talk to people at our table. It's been good to see.

So sorry for the delayed response! I haven't been really active on KZbin due to becoming a full-time caregiver to my Mom and still helping with my Dad part-time. When he was first diagnosed he was very angry and didn't know how to handle it because he was forced to retire early and wasn't allowed to drive anymore. Then one day it was like he just accepted it and has the most positive attitude and is accepting of it. He has gone through so many different stages though and we talk about it all the time to try and normalize it so it makes it easier for him to cope with it!
