Richard's Journey with FTD (Frontal Lobe Dementia) - Episode #43 (03/26/23)

Today we decided to do an impromptu video at Big Daddy's Homestead & Apiary, located in Valley View Ohio, where my Dad spends quite a bit of his time visiting and helping us out with projects. I had him give a quick tour of the apiary and the house and he talked about some of the projects that he has worked on recently. I felt really bad when we got to the spare room, which he has been calling his room up to this point, and said it isn't his anymore and you could hear the sadness in his voice. My Mom (his "Ex" as he calls her) is staying with me and my husband, due to medical issues, and will be using that room until she goes back to her house eventually. He talks about the weather and the wind storm we had blow through. He talks about the show "Logan" that he was watching on TV.
Richard Pontious and I started making these videos to document his journey with FTD and to help bring more awareness to how Frontal Lobe Dementia may impact a person's life. It has been almost six years since he was diagnosed. He loves talking and sharing his story and how FTD has impacted his life in the hopes that it may help someone else who might be dealing with the same thing or caring for a loved one with a similar diagnosis . As usual he did a great job! He is such an inspiration with his positive attitude.
