November was a light reading month for you... haha. It took me 6 weeks to finish Dracula and had to check it out 3 times. Feeling like Homer fading in to the bush meme. It was a really good book and it actually answered a couple of obscure questions I've always had but the characters. So how do you manage this reading multiple books at a time? Ever get the characters mixed up?

I am moving to Japan in 2026. I was always planning to go as I already have my papers in order, but it was originally supposed to be for a shorter period. But now, I just can't do it anymore. This is just not an environment for me. Too much hatred, too much religious extremism, too much guns, too much violence. It's just not for me. I already been to Japan twice for several months, and it was more peaceful that I've ever been in this country. I don't know if I'll stay there permanently, but depending how things evolve, it'll probably for a long time. Big hugs.

The idea that the conservative side is based on 'hatred, bigotry, racism, and fear’ is simply not true. Those are just words repeated over and over again by mainstream media to get the left riled up. In reality, most people who lean right simply hold more traditional values and are terribly disheartened by the moral corruption and degradation of family within society. The real problem is that sin is a cultural sickness we've normalized. Speaking about 'women's bodily autonomy' (abortion) as some basic freedom we've grown accustomed to just shows how spiritually corrupt we've become. At its base level, abortion is child sacrifice primarily due to a sexually immoral and promiscuous culture. Not to mention, I still can’t wrap my head around why women fight so hard for abortion when it’s clearly so damaging for the female body. In terms of the LGBTQ movement promoting pedophilia, that’s just blatant now. Drag shows are now happening in elementary schools. Grown men push fetish fantasies onto young children without their parent's permission. In some cases, here in Canada the schools are not informing parents that these drag shows are going on. The big question is, why do these men *want* to show themselves to children in this way? That is pedophilia. And so the conservatives find it extremely unsettling that liberals are pushing for this mass childhood sexual trauma and sacrifice on multiple levels. But-here’s the thing. The whole political system, with its 2 sides, is literally designed to divide and conquer. This is why it's so imperative not to look at these political figures as a potential savior. This isn’t about left vs. right. This is about the essentials of good vs. evil. The One True God vs. Satan. Satan loves to traumatize. Especially children. He gets off on abortion. I feel like the first four years and the dread of believing he would win in 2020 is hitting me all at once. Sending love and support from NY. Hopefully Trump's administration proves as inept the second time around as the first. The people behind him may have a 2025 plan, but I have my doubts that will be successfully executed, and that the parts that are implemented backfire spectacularly. And in two years we have mid-term elections. Unfortunately even an ineffective second term will do real damage to many people in this country. I'm not worried about the third term because the 22nd amendment language barring it is clear, such that even this Supreme Court wouldn't bend it in Trump's favor. At first I was like, WOW! 93 tropes. But then I realized that you're missing oh so many. What about the 'rescue' or 'stressed out attorney' or 'finding that common interest' theme.... or maybe I'm watching too much Hallmark.

I would say we are pretty close on our opinions of the tropes. I would probably rank more in the "what is this?" category due to a lack of familiarity with them. On an unrelated note. Out of curiosity, what temperature is chilly in L.A.?

Wouldn't changing sexual preferences mean that one or both characters discover that they are same sex attracted, if the main couple is heterosexual, or vice versa?

I recently returned a book after reading just 10 pages and had been looking around for a new one. I went with your #1 Dracula. First page... yeah... easy to understand why it's a classic. Only a few chapters in but excellent recommendation.

I have never known and just dabble in things. Ironically I have been watching philosophy lectures on KZbin as my latest hobby.

When I was younger, I knew what I wanted. I had 3 goals and a mission. By 26, I had achieved 3 and was well on my way to the 4th. Circumstances changed and the 4th was no longer an option. Since then I've been essentially lost and wandering, searching for a path and just taking things as they came. Now thanks to inspiration and guidance I've gained from you and other authors, I think I found my path again.
