I found a cutting but did not know what it was so I put it in a vase with water. Now that I know what it is, 2wks later, the bottom seems to be rotting but has a leaf on one branch and a bud on the other. How can I save it? Should I cut where the rot is ? 😢😢. Please help

Hello, im currently waiting for my painted lady caterpillars to hatch but am a little lost on what to feed them once they do?? Should i continue to go out and scavenge thistle/milkweed for them or should i just buy some small mallow and milkweed plants ? Or what other leaves could i feed them? Thank you❤

My first Plumeria cutting was a gift & it is 2 years old & has 2 arms now. After returning from Kauai & seeing SOO many!!! I just bought a young one … starfish? And i just repotted her today. I’m in the Southwest in summer so i have them in a great location of mostly shade & dappled sunlight… under my giant mesquite tree. 🥰🌿

I have a Plumaria plant that is just one stem. How do I get this to flower and or grow branches? I’ve had this one stem for probably a year and I don’t have any flowers or branches.

Thanks to your video, I was confident in potting a plumeria cutting today! It already had some baby blooms, which I hope will continue to flourish as the cutting starts to root.

Your presentation, comments are very pleasant and informative. I have jusr purchased a episcia, so wish me luck. A friend who had a nursery could never maintain one so I am nervous. She has a vast collection of African Violets?

Hello! My sister gave me a plumeria cutting from her trip to hawaii and I've had it for a couple months now. I checked today and had no roots and had to take off about 1/2 an inch off because it rotted.. I'm leaving it to dry for another week on a warming mat in a container with some sand and perlite ( not covered) because I have an issue with soil gnats. ( let me know if I should change it) I watched your video and I'm so hopeful that I can save it and get it growing. I will be getting some vermiculite but what soil medium should I use? Aeroid mix? I really want to make her as proud as I will be to get it growing since she went out of her way to get it for me at a nursery there.

I’m new to plumeria but decided to transplant in your method. But in the process I broke off the top 8 inches. The base has a beautiful root ball. Do I just transplant and stick it in the ground? It has a lot of sap coming from the top.

I bought a house last year with a 7 ft plumeria stalk with no leaves/flowers (looks like a cactus), in really heavy clay soil. It's now April and I see the stalk dividing and growing but no leaves. (Last year had several leaves but no flowers) Everyone else's look so full of leaves and flowers. Is soil the problem? Should I try to dig out the tree just to change/mix the soil with vermiculite/perlite? or can I just loosely add vermiculite around the top soil and call it a day? Thanks to anyone for responding!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video ~ Javeness -you're well spoken, knowledgeable not to mention adorable! I'm taking my Plumeria out of hibernation and propagating some of the larger plants. I also have an enormous (6Ft+) African Milk Bush that started drooping overnight so I'll be researching what I need for that project too. Thanks for the expert advice. Do you TikTok too?

Thank you so much. I appreciate you wisdom and sweet energy. You are so sweet. I love your butterflies as well. When planting in the ground I was told to put stones at the bottom to help drain the water. I also used cactus soil. What do you think about this? It seems to be working my plumeria is doing really well.. I need to prune some of the branches and I want them to be as healthy as possible. Thanks again

Моя плюмерия уже 85см в высоту и листья у нее по всему стволу торчат, четвертый год растёт, и не даёт ветви и не цветет. Я вырастила её из семечка, может, я что-то делаю неправильно??? 😢😭😭

Thank you so much for making such an inspiring video. I’ve always been a plant lover and I have a natural green thumb. My father who passed from leukemia was a champion orchid and bonsai artist and grower. As I get older I realize why it was he adored and fawned over his amazing back yard and almost mystical escape. It’s the creator! and the great variety he’s made! the different and fascinating needs of each plant. I find my heart racing with every plant I see in this video they are such a wonderful gift we get to share this planet with. Thanks again for making such a beautiful video. ❤

I’m sorry to hear a about your father 💔. Losing a loved one is hard. Gardening and nature is amazing and can be a mystical escape. I’m so glad you came across my video and it brought you joy 💚🌿. Thank you for this comment. It’s a great reminder as to why I make videos like this. Which is to bring joy to others whom share the same plant passion as I do 😁🌿

Can you start with potted milkweed, leave them outside until they have eggs on them and then put those potted milkweeds into the enclosure? A lot of videos I am seeing involve collecting eggs and picking leaves each day from the outside for feeding.

I just got my first Episcia a few days ago. It looked so much like an African violet I felt I would be able to grow it. Sadly, the person in the plant store didn’t know anything about it, but my plant sister put me on the right track. Your video was just what I needed to learn about my new plant. Thank you - I will be subscribing to your channel.

The previous house I lived at had a tall mature plumeria tree and I got 3 cuttings from it before I moved. I followed your video instructions and they are now starting to produce leaves. I am so happy about this. I have mine growing indoors and monitor them daily. I normally water them 2 to 3 weeks when I water my other plants that I’m growing indoors as well.

I really wanted to have my own butterfly garden but I don’t have space, then I saw these containers and thought maybe this is enough? But I had doubts since butterflies are meant to roam around and not just stucked in a container. And yes… based on your video, I have to release them so if I do this now, I can only be with them through their early growing stage but bid farewell on their last stage😪 I really can’t bring myself to jail them for the rest of their lives, it’s just not my personality.
@aGirlwithaGarden6 ай бұрын
I always encourage releasing the butterflies. The beautiful thing is if you continue this practice and plant flowers to attract them as well as host plants you’ll get butterflies every season

I have several plumeria plants that I started from stems and transferred into one and two gallon pots. They are now producing their first leaves and some are flowering. How do you know when it is time to plant in the ground or re-pot into larger pots? I would prefer to get them into the ground but if it is safer to re-pot into larger pots I will do that.

Thank you for your video. We visited Hawaii last year and I brought home a cutting from the market. I tried to pot it and root it but it only rotted. I will say that it tried to grow new leaves at the top. I just wanted to say from my experience, growing new leaves isn’t a perfect indicator of rooting. I think it was using the remaining energy in the branch to try to grow.

Really enjoy watching your videos. Your energy is great and lots of good info. Have some input... I tried Garden Safe Take Root hormone as you suggested. Ended up with stem rot and I didn't have that problem before. Gonna go back to the natural way with nothing or maybe cinnamon. Thought it was important to share my experience. Best to you.

I have one of these I got from a friend. I’ve been growing it by trial and error. Hates direct sun. Learned that the hard way! When I put it under a grow light it just took off. The leaves are huge and lush. It’s probably my favorite plant now. So responsive. In a strange way, it feels more alive than some of my other plants.
