These are absolutely gorgeous! I personally like seeing roots in unboxing videos- pretty foliage is great but solid roots are more important to the health of the plant :)

Sarah Villasenor you are totally right! If the foliage is great looking but the roots are in poor shape the plant might not recover. The roots on all the plants were amazing all white and healthy. Actually made me wonder what type of medium they had them growing in bc they were so perfect looking that they didn’t even look like they had dirt on them💚

A girl with a garden from what I’ve heard, the roots have to be completely free of potting material in order to pass phytosanitary so they clean them thoroughly! But same, I’d love to see their medium and how they get such healthy roots 😋

hi_has I know they looked like artificial plastic plants. I have no idea how they got the plants leaves to fold in like that. They since then have acclimated and look like real plants now 😆🤣🌿 no more flat pressed down leaves

I placed an order with New Life Tropicals on May 4th, 2020. Then the airports were shut down. Last week I got an update that the airports are now open but they were delayed again due to the airport protocol. I am waiting patiently for my order. It's worth the wait but, yeah its a risk. I love your plants. I'm glad they came in great condition.

Jessica M. Thank you very much 💚🌿!! As for the WALL-E I got it online a few years back. I think you can still find them selling on eBay. However I wouldn’t pay more then $70 for the LEGO set. When they were still in production LEGO was selling the set for about $60. It’s crazy how some LEGO sets can be kinda pricey 😉

I just got my order I waited for over a month and a half for. No free plant for me. :( Pretty happy with my plant except my pink princess was microscopic.

That wait time seems to be what most people are experiencing now. I've been in email contact with them and still now haven't received the free plant that they left out go the order. So we'll see what happens with that. However overall the plants that I did get are doing quite well and have quite a bit of new growth. I'll have to do an Update video on the plants here soon 😉🌿.

How did you treat/acclimated the verrucosum after shipping?

Hey Mike😉🌿!!! The best way to acclimate them is to provide the best growing conditions or the same type of growing conditions it had prior to you receiving it. Also let it get acclimated in you home first before repotting it if it came in a pot.

CrystalRenèe 420 Hey Gurl so ya I find that their response time via email isn’t as timely as I would hope. They have however replied to every email I’ve sent. In my experience I’ve had to wait 2-4 days before getting a reply. Not sure if that’s still due to covid19. I used the email contact information on their website when I’ve emailed them with questions in regards to my order. Hope you hear from them soon.

Chrystal Sabin I’ve been there too. Sometimes when I lose an eBay bid I take it as a sign that the right plant for the right price is still out there. I usually try not to go over what I want to spend on any plant...I have limits too 😉 You’ll find your monstera soon🌿

The plants look good.. Btw yes, those plastic tapes are to protect from splashing water and the rain, especially in the rainy season. But this has become a thing here in Indonesia all year round LMAO.

A girl with a garden all of them! This is my first tropical plant order and I got the max 12 plants. Verrucosum and melanochrysum I’m super excited about! I just got the Dhl notification yesterday actually! I was ecstatic! The tracking says it’s on hold currently because it arrived later than expected and couldn’t make the flight so it’ll go out on the next one. ETA says Monday. 😖 I hope it makes its way to me safe and sound. Thanks for replying! ❤️

Great review! Online may be a good way to go. Walmart and many grocers in the Atlanta deal with a nursery that replaces dead plants for free. This causes Walmart and others to not water the poor plants, knowing they will be replaced automatically.u So they dont waste the manpower and just call the nursery when they die. 🌿🌿🌿Something wrong with this picture😞 . 🌿🌿🌿

@@aGirlwithaGarden I have talked to many there. Some try to water the plant but managers send them elsewhere. I used to buy plants there but not for 6 or 7 years. If you were the owner of Walmart- things would get watered!!!🌿
