Being an OKie, I absolutely love this song! Wonderful musical, wonderful song, and wonderful state. Oklahoma is much more than just OK!!!

Funny how Jud joins in singing the song. Why does he?

This is one of my favourite three minutes of film in all cinema. The way the choreographer has the actors move in and out the frame is thrilling.

Brilliant song , though I think Alfred Newmans orchestration twice at the beginning after the words romance & pants to repeat once too many times at the end.

It's weird, looking at this. The original play came out in the 40s, around 80 years ago. Pretty much anyone who wasn't under 20 then is dead, yet there is the same amount of time between then and the civil war. The same people which many people were able to call grandfather and grandmother, had the opportunity to call the same to someone who saw events that everyone today considers ancient history, and for which modern technology would be considered unbelievable.

As my father would say, "They don't make 'em like that any more." They don't make men like you anymore, Dad. We should be grateful these films exist.

Gene and Gloria plus Jimmy Johnson and Vicki Simon (1998-1999 London Revival & Proshot Cast) are my 2 favorite Will and Ado Annie duos!!!
@aneamarlivana1729 күн бұрын
With all due respect, I prefer the Nelson/Grahame version. Their version is playful banter. Johnson and Simon are positively vicious with each other. Opinions differ, and that's fine.
